Question for owners of Firefly PAL

Anyone who has the original black PAL used on Firefly for the coms, can you tell me how deep it is, face to back? I'm working on modding up a more common PAL 5+ to look more "com-ish" and it looks a little deeper than the original.

Can anyone confirm the dimension for me?

I don't have mine handy to get exact measurements, but as I recall, the main body is about 1 1/4" thick--with the round speaker grill included, it's about 1 1/2".

38 cm would be over a foot deep.
