Question about Tricorder elctronics

Hello all,
I'm preparing to embark down the road of my first prop with electronics!

I've chosen the Mark X tricorder. I'm tired of waiting for MR and I think I'd feel greater satisfaction and have to pay less if I built a kit.

My question is... Does anyone know if a GMProps electronics kit would fit in a Roddenberry.com tricorder body?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!
