Hi all,
I'm working on Avatar Neytiri bust, just starting to create the mold and after that the resin copies.
I would want to get sub surface scattering / semi translucent look to the head and thinking if Smooth Cast 325 with a bit flesh tone coloring would do that. Silicone would be the best option I know, but I really dont want to use that for this project.
Basically my workflow is exatly like in this video:

My actual question is that if the resin is translucent (like for example Smooth Cast 325), how do i primer it for the painting process? Primer would have to be transparent and I cant find primer like that from anywhere... Or can I paint straight over the resin? Or do you have any other suggesting how to create the translucent look?
Thanks in advance,
Sami
