Question about Tim Burton exhibit at MoMA...

Hi guys, I have a question for you...
Me and my girlfriend would love (if we could find the money and the time to do it...) to come to NY to visit this exhibit that we are dying to see...
But (as I said earlier) it will be so damn hard for us to really find a way to visit the exhibit before it will close, so I was wondering... Does anybody know if this exhibit will ever be in Europe or if it will be renewed?

Any "insider" that could help or share some news about it?
(or a Newyorker that could give us one room if we could come?:lol)

Thanks in advance guys!;)

I really don't know. I showed it to a friend who is a huge Burton fan and that was the first she heard of it. Too bad everyone is broke otherwise it would be fun

I'm in Noo Yawk, so I called MoMA, and, yes, the exhibit will be travelling, but right now the only other scheduled stops are at Toronto and Melbourne. So maybe it will go elsewhere too.

Nice preview of the exhibit here: http://www.moma.org/visit/calendar/exhibitions/313

Hope you get to see it.

I did not know that. For the Torontonians out there, it's going to the Bell Lightbox from November 22nd, 2010 to April 27th, 2011

So a similar schedule to NY, just different year.

Thanks a bunch guys:thumbsup

We are trying to make it before it ends, it will be hard but we are trying...;)
If it will ever come to London or any other european city it will be way easier of course, but at least now I know if we could not make it for NY there is still a chance to see it live, maybe in Toronto... Who knows:)

About the art of Tim Burton book, it's on the whislist... I think I'm gonna buy it as soon as possible;)

Thanks again!:)

I just went to this exhibit yesterday.

Neat things there, aside from a TON of art: Edward Scissorhands costume, 3 bat cowls, 2 planet of the apes helmets, Catwoman's suit and glvoes (but no mask) a bunch of maquettes from Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride, some props from Willy Wonka.

The bad side? No photos, and major enforcement of it.

How do they enforce it? Do they ask you to turn in your camera before you enter the exhibit or do they just have more than average security walking around?

Security stationed throughout.

The costumes / props are completely open... they are just on boxes / stands / etc... in the middle, with a rope around them. There was a guard stationed on either side of the display when I was there.

coming to Los Angeles!!!!!!!
