He was such a great part of DS9's later seasons as Vic Fontaine.

Not bad for a lightbulb. The self aware hologram was great.

I have one of his albums. Great singer.
I still say the Vic character was a weird addition to DS9 and a little too "See! We ARE connected to Vegas!" for my taste, but he played it so well it made me like the character anyway.
edit: in DS9 we hear ONE (1) line of a song from him about the Alamo and it sounds great...and no other reference to that song ever again. Would love to find a copy of it if such a thing ever existed.

It was the original “Sliders”, had to jump in an emergency and lost the ability to go back home.
