Question about primer for brass

Im working on a current project and I haven't painted brass before.

Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on the best way to go about priming brass??

Specific types of primers (brands), techniques, length of drying time, should it be sanded after primed, anything else I should know?

BTW, the brass has already been sanded down.

(And certain parts of the project are plastic (Styrene, PVC...)

Thanks,

DS

It paints like any other metal surface...at least in my experience. I've used acrylic, laquer and enamel paints, plus laquer and enamel primer and results are :thumbsup

I've used acrylic auto primer on brass before with no problems. You just have to ensure it''s clean and grease-free before spraying.
