PSA: United Cutlery Sword of Boromir is available again.

UC1400, The sword of Boromir, is being produced once again, and is available now at Budk.com for $199.99. I was very excited to see this, and received mine today. The major difference I noticed right off the bat was the coloring of the leather on the handle. The original (if memory serves) was a chocolate brown color. The sword I received today has a much darker brown... almost black leather. Aside from that, seems about the same quality.

i wanted to spread the word, since I see very little discussion about this being released online.

Is the stitching on the correct side this time? Mine is currently en route.

Do you mind posting a picture of the handle color? Also is the stitching on the backside? same side as the logo on the blade?

Eowyn's sword (UC1423) should be arriving next month and Anduril's scabbard (UC1396) in December. As well as the new items Eomer's sword & helm and Boromir's Horn of Gondor early next year.

Here's the side of the handle with the stitching. Comparing to Stivie 's photo above, I guess the color isn’t as drastically different from the original as I remembered, maybe just how promo photos make it look. However, this did make me notice the 2 grooves are not painted black like on the old version.

Thanks for the photo. I was curious to see how the new batch fairs. The grip color looks pretty close to mine, but shame about the black bands. Easy fix with some paint.

Not to derail but any word on hobbit swords, pippin or merry?

No word on any of the Hobbit swords, either from the Weathertop collection or their Gondor or Rohan swords.

I'd like them all if they were ever released.
