Hey there fellow propers! I was wondering if any of you would know this off the top of your head. I installed a sound kit in my proton pack last fall and everything went well. The kit is powered by one of two 12v C battery six packs (and the lower 5v for the sound chip). I was recommended the Q-kits 15w amp which is what I have installed. I noticed a lot pf folks use the canakit 7w amp. It has always had pretty bad static issues at even slightly high volumes. I soldered the connections real good but still continue to have issues. I'm kind of wondering is switching to the 7w amp would help at all with this. I have 2 8ohm speakers wired parallel which I suppose equals 4ohm? It would seem the optimal ohm for the soundboards is 8 ohm? Would this be the cause? Another friend mentioned that his buddy had a pack wired similarly and it would get bad static when the batteries were low. Appreciate any help.
