Nice! Is it the Vader helmet from eBay? Where did you get the Stormtrooper? Never seen one in the wild! Congrats!
It’s been a year since this thread had anything in it. I’ve been lurking around these forums for a very long time and I finally joined. I love all the resources available here. To contribute I thought I’d show some images of my Propshop lightsaber I bought when it was available. I had a very long talk with my wife about purchasing this. I’m so greatful I was able to get it.
Thank you! I check on eBay every once and a while too. Not that ever intend on selling it, but I would like to know what the market value is. I’ve never seen it up for auction. I think that is very strange because I see more actual movie props and rocket firing Boba Fetts at auction than this.Great stuff! I peruse eBay every once and a while hoping that one will pop up but haven't gotten lucky yet.

There is no harm in being a contrarian One one hand I agree with you. I would love to have an exact replica of Luke’s Empire lightsaber. On the other hand is this much different than the the variations between when the prop was first made and after it was abused during filming? Or stunt versions? Or the difference between A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back?I'm gonna be that guy. For how much these things were it's shocking how inaccurate they are.
I've seen people critiquing the accuracy of the weathering and finishing of the props. But, to my eyes we need to look at them a bit differently that we do other prop replicas.
When we, on the board, and this is usually what I'm all about, we pick a particular screen used prop and try and copy it down to the micron, matching every dimension, nick, and smudge. We're trying to copy "the" prop, which we have chosen.
But prop shop was less of a replica shop and more of a prop supply house. So they weren't copying any particular prop artifact. They were making a kylo saber or a rey saber they way they were made for the film. Since every prop that they made for the movie differed in small ways, one to another. It's only natural that each prop they made will have little differences. This might make them have inaccuracies according to the measurement standard of the RPF. But according to the way an art department makes props for a film, they're "just like the original".
I think that you should be very proud to own them. Thanks for sharing. I love seeing every little variation.
Thanks , I don’t have a saber yet but would love to find the KyloThe helmets are stunning. Especially the melted Vader. I'm a saber guy. I just notice the inaccuracies because I've been involved with saber research since the late 90's.
Yeah, man. Your opinion about the sabers is a very valid one. Please don’t feel it is useless. You are you correct that I bought it because It is an officially licensed saber. I also bought it because of the people making it. As inaccurate as it is to previous ones I feel it is awesome to buy a hand assembled lightsaber made by the people who worked on the movie. The helmets are stunning. Especially the melted Vader. Oh, man! I would have lived to pick up the FN-2187 helmet. If I had unlimited resources I would have picked it and the Kylo Ren lightsaber. You have an awesome collection. I‘m drooling! To each there own !
i have two of these awesome props and think they are amazing !
i will buy more as they fall in my path .

Aren't the Prop Shop helmets and some props/parts of the props 3D printed? If so, what quality 3D printing material did they use, and how long will these props and helmets last? Because for the price you pay, considering the inaccuracies and high price, you might also have to consider the 3D printing material degrading over the years.
