Nothing new there. Everything on display there has been shown, discussed, and debated at length:

- Fett Bucket (paint job was said to be production version, if so, looks great)
- Stormie bucket
- BH stormie bucket
- Mini versions of Fett and Stormie, Wedge
- Boba blaster
- Luke ESB blaster
- All the Muppets (Fozzie, Kermit, Gonzo and Animal)
- Luke V2
- Mara
- Enterprise SS
- Falcon SS
- Bunch of Corgi die-cast bond cars
- Disney stuff
- Marvel Spidey busts/statues
- POTC stuff

etc etc

I've only been going to the Con since 1985. I think the entire Con would have fit in the Mezzanine level around the escalators.

I waited SO LONG to see the Blade Runner Panel and instead got treated to 1.5 hours of the crappiest audience questions I've ever heard for the movie "300". I mean seriously, when a guy introduced himself as a journalist and then asked the members of the panel who each was and what they did, after they had already been introduced with that information... ?!?!?! UGH! "how did you get your six pack on your tummy for the movie?" WTF! I was so bored with that 300 crap that I left, wondering what happened to the Blade Runner panel... I mean, it was scheduled for that time, but after over an hour, nothing.

Luckily, as I left the hall I ran into Sean Young :) Talked to her for a couple minutes, that made it worth it. She looked pretty good, and sounded like she was having fun at the Con.

Also got to spend time with Dave Prowse, Peter & Angie Mayhew, Steve Sansweet, the usuals. Dave seems to have recovered quite nicely from his total hip replacement surgeries. Oh yeah, had a fun surprise of hanging out with Richard Hatch for a little bit too... went over to bug a friend at the BSG fan table, and Richard was hanging out there. He was super tired, and I guess that brings out the strange humor in him, because he was hilarious.

Anywho, have seen lots of RPFers there as well, been great to see everyone! Has been a nice Con for me. But yeah, it's way too crowded.

Much better day today. First off, I don't watch 'Heroes'. It would seem to me that 'Heroes' fans are psycho and plentiful. Be afraid, be very afraid. Got to watch the pilot episodes of 'Bionic Women' & 'Sarah Conner Chronicles'. Both amazing !!!! Took some more photos you can view here. Got autographs and some exclusives finally. Burned through most of the convention floor. Hasbro has to have the most ****ed up format for selling their items, and screw Warner Brothers for their free giveaway superman bags. Those things are beyond big and people don't know how to control them.

Looking closer at the pic of the Ark, I doubt it was done by Lucasfilm. There were several things not accurate on it just from a glance. Still, it is a very nice display.

The Ark was actually part of Hasbro's photo opp booth, to help promote their new figures.

I just wanted to second Brendan's review of the 300 audience questions. They were BEYOND retarded. WORST questions I've ever heard. And, yeah, the highlight was the guy who asked everyone what they did on the movie AFTER they'd already been introduced. And the inane questions about working out and how did the director manage to get actors who all had six-pack abs.... and if he was he attracted to the men.... ***** ******! KILL ME NOW!

In contrast, the Blade Runner questions were much better.

Alan

Thanks!!! :)

Today was not such a bad day either. Finished walking the convention floor, picked up a few additional items, and was on the road home before 1:00pm. Check out a few additional photos here.

Dude, were you there in 1976 when LFL sent some people down to promote a yet-to-be released film called Star Wars? If so, do you specifically remember their booth/panel/whatever, or talking with their people? Was anyone big sent down? What was it like?

The Wook

I was at a con in LA at the Marriott that year when Charlie Lipincott and crew showed up with slides and a presentation about the movie. They said Mark Hamil was wandering around the con, but he didn't attend the presentation.

On G4TechTv, they have a ComicCon show and one the bottom they have this tickertape like news info. On there they mentioned that some company - (Jasmen?) was showing off Halo props that are supposed to be available in Oct. Has anyone heard or seen anything of this??

lol, well that's what I get for not having seen the movie...!

Haven't seen any pics of the car anywhere online...
