New Thursday photos posted here. This will be my last year at Comic Con for a while. Way too many people and way too many hours waiting in lines just to be told the panels are already full. They really need to limit the number of tickets sold. Ridiculous !!! This is my 13th year and I have seen this thing grow out of control.

Been going since early eighties. There has always been a wait to get in, even then. But the last few years it's been a real *****.
The line took I would say about 1:20 to get to your pre reg badge.
Next year for me, Wednesday night is going to be go wait in line and pick up badge night. Pre-registering doesn't really help at all. In fact, I think the pre-reg line was worse then the one for people to just show up and pay. Or I suppose you could show up after lunch to get in after the line is gone, but parking will be gone by then I am sure.
I still enjoy going despite the hassles, as long as it doesnt get any worse. why they dont simply mail your badge to you totally escapes me.

Dude, were you there in 1976 when LFL sent some people down to promote a yet-to-be released film called Star Wars? If so, do you specifically remember their booth/panel/whatever, or talking with their people? Was anyone big sent down? What was it like?

I remember animation cells for around 80 bucks at the con. A lot of money to me at that age. Basically almost my whole con budget.
Of course they all go for thousands now.
I also remember some guy named Matt Groenig pushing some silly cartoon that probably wouldnt amount to anything at all.
I haven't seen or heard anything yet so I'll just ask: is Master Replicas showing an Assault Phaser and Tricorder that they are supposed to be working on...? :confused

I asked Bryan of MR about them. The phaser was scheduled to show up, but didn't make it. He said he actually had an original prop with him, though. Tricorder wasn't ready to show. Both are going to be diecast, and therefore heavy- it sounds like. The phaser will have lights and sounds and a removable battery/clip.
I also asked about the future of the Star Trek SS line. A D7 is already underway, but they're in the process of renewing the license, so anything beyond that is questionable. I put in a vote for an Enterprise refit model, but Bryan hinted that if it gets renewed, they might be starting near the end of the E line (alphabetically-speaking) before going back to a refit model.
Yes, I have heard before an E may be next.
I hope they consider a TOS Galileo shuttlecraft as well. Seems like that would be an easy one to bang out.
