Prop Identification - Divergent end scene knife

I'm helping my friend's daughter with some work on a Divergent costume she is making. I have been trying to find the real knife used for this prop, but hours of searching has led nowhere. The images I have would be enough for a rough prop but Id like to try and find the real item and make a nice one.


Here's 2 screen grabs. It clearly has a split handle, and looks like it could be of a forged style, but i couldn't get enough resolution to see it clearly.

Looks like a throwing knife to me.

Gil Hibben (fantasy knife/sword maker) and Ken Onion (practical knife maker) were talking about this on Gil's Facebook several months ago. Neither of them knew who makes it, but both said they could make it in less than an hour.

I haven't seen the movie but I recalled seeing a similar looking knife while looking for throwing knives--Perfect Point TK-019-3 throwing knife. It could have had the handle wrapped by the production. They're available at Amazon: Perfect-Point-TK-019-3

That is damn close LabMan, thanks. That will do well enough for her prop.

Tbh though it's really bugging me that I can't find the real knife. It may be they made it fresh or modded another, like those Perfect Point knives, but all too often they use existing items. It's gotta be out there... :ninja I will find it, no matter where it hides.
