Project: Aurra Sing pistol

Not quite finished, but finally making some progress so I thought I'd share...I really hate painting, but I also really wanted to see one painted up so here it is so far:

Multiple paint layers starting with grey primer, a coat of satin black followed by bare metal silver then flat black camo and some drybrushing and flaking..still dreading the marble on the handle

By the way, I think the buttplate is shiny silver like polished aluminium and not the same color as the grip.

Thanks Kboy! I believe you are correct..I think the butt plate is silver (at least the raised area is) That part wasn't painted yet in the pic, but thanks for the heads up:thumbsup

The pearl effect is looking good. How about trying some of that pearlescent effect coat over it?

I also saw some glistening powdered pearl effect paint on ebay, maybe you can rub that into it as is?

They were assembled, primed and ready to paint for a customer in Australia, but unfortunately I have not heard back from her in quite a while so I am putting these back up for sale. Hey everyone... So I figured it was about time that I actually made one of these for myself finally lol. *I've been tinkering with this one off and on for a few weeks now, just slowly working on it between the thousand projects I have going right now. I wasn't completely happy with my first paint job when I did one of these (painting is one of my least favorite activities when it comes to props and armor). I was gonna keep it for myself and then someone wanted to buy it, so I sold it. Long story short, I decided to try again. Here's a pic of the prop:

And here's where I'm at so far:

Drilled the hole for the metal rod running down the side

Then added it with some plastic bonder, I think it adds a nice realistic touch to the weapon

Just got a few more details to add and this baby's done I'll update with more pics as I make progress
