Progress thread - my Star Trek TNG hypospray. Kits available!

Hi all, just thought I'd let you know how I was going with my hypospray.
I was wanting to make one that was an exact replica to the Enterprise E hyposprays, so I found the original prop dept plans for making them, and am following the measurements exactly.
The head and body are made of plastic, and the tip and neck will me machined aluminium and brass. As my girlfriend is a research scientist, she has found vials/ampules that fit the measurements exactly, and these are glass, so even more authentic.
I will be casting these when I am done, and as of this post, I have 7 orders out of 10.
The mold will be rubber, obviously, and the castings will be plastic. The aluminium neck and brass tip will be all machined by hand.
Here's where I am up to at the moment.

I have finished one side of the split area, the initial box I made with 1.5mm styrene, and used 1.5mm styrene square rods to reinforce the corners.
I rounded the bottoms, and I'm finishing off the other split side before I putty and smooth the whole thing.
The head is more or less done, with a bit of sanding to go before I can put the buttons on the back.
If you are interested, the thread to hold a casting for yourself is here - If it gets a lot of interest, i WILL increase the number of castings I do in this run.

I'm looking forward to finishing it - I'm really happy with how this is coming along.

Looks good so far. Always like seeing someone taking on a project themselves.

Looks great! If I hadn't just bought a ton of GMprops electronics, I'd be all over your kit.

Update on my hypospray build. Finally found a decent way to get the ampule to seat properly. Felt will be able to be fitted to the inside to friction house the ampule inside the hypospray, same as the ones on the show. I've gone over every measurement and curve on my prop, it's exactly the same as the ones used on the show.

I'm uploading these pictures of the body before I primer and paint it. I'm off to do the aluminium neck and the brass tip tomorrow.
Expect an update sometime tomorrow with the painted body and the metal components.

Looks great so far.

I wish I could get in on the list... but money will be a little tight for me for the next two months or so. Maybe you'll do another run sometime.

Yeah I guess if enough people want it, I'll do another run later on. I could probably do singles too I suppose, depends how long it takes for me to cast the pieces then machine the neck and tip.
