Pro Photo Shoot for my Vader suit

Finally.
I never could make it to the pro shoots done with members here.
I found a local girl who has done some great work.
She posted my shoot samples online so I could start evaluating shots I like and photoshop ideas.

Now, I am the kinda guy who doesn't go for straightout screen accuracy. i am only 6'2", 230lbs, with a budget over 7 years. My suit is a compilation of Portumac Reveal mask, Costume Junkie 3 pice suit, Dark Shadow cod, GT shins, GT gloves, GT capes, Sitharmor ( I think lol) Chest armor, homemade belt.

Enjoy.

thanks!
Actually, I have just been too lazy to do the whole 501st thing.
I am the only dude within 50 miles of myself who actually does this sorta stuff (that I am aware of), so not many friends locally to share ideas and hook-up with.

Excellent job! Too bad the studio sucks all the color out of the sabre.

Great pics! You were one of my early inspirations when I was researching and getting components together for my Vader.:thumbsup

Glad everyone is enjoying :)

Ya know, I do get asked why I don't photo myself without the mask on. Well, I choose not to do photos unmasked because I feel it looses the magic.

I typically only take the suit out a few times a year. I must have help putting it on, based on the way I want it to wear on me (my wife is a real help and can't do it without her). Lots of hidden straps and tricks make me look super tight and I having OCD, I insist that robes and capes look right at all times LOL

It is really neat how the suit changes me. I'm just an ordinary dude. So, since I am not seven feet tall (I'm only 6' 2"), I have to make sure scale is everything. My suit is not "screen accurate", but it is my representation. Local people don't notice the changes, so big deal :)

I get asked if I am a body builder....LOL, far from it. I am hitting 230lbs cuz of my wonderful beer belly hahaha. The way I put it together really hides a great deal of me....makes me look tight and machine-like. I carry the suit well and I have perfected my everyday walk to really make the suit seem powerful. You may laugh, but here is my secret; I perfected my walk from watching Arnold Swartzenegger. In T2 and T3, I loved how powerful his steps were and how he carries himself. I adopted it and man, it works! Presentation is everything.

I can't wait to see the photoshopped pics...she can do some neat stuff.

well, it's three months since this thread was updated....yeah, a little bit of problems with the photographer. She was going thru some midlife crisis and her brother finally had to help me get my master pics.
Needless to say, I never really got the photoshopping I hoped for. Ohh, a couple were cool, but I just consider myself lucky to have gotten high res masters.

So.
Anyone want to play with a couple from my shoot to show me what ya can do? I have somewhere around 100 different shots, but I just uploaded a couple for starters:

That's a nice looking Vader, I wouldn't be too concerned about it not being "screen accurate", it looks terrific.:thumbsup

that very first shot is better than anything Lucasfilm managed to come up with for the ROTS promo shots.

Well done.

The photos look fantastic. The photos mean so much to get a good presentation. The only thing i whould recomend you to upgrade as soon as possible whould be the belt and possible later a better cod. Other than that is looks very good. (y)thumbsup(y)thumbsup:thumbsup
