Prince of Persia costume - obscure parts hunt

Hi guys, anyone know where I can find eyelets similar to these? I have no idea what to describe them as, since they're anything but typical eyelets. But they have to have come from SOMEWHERE, right?

Any info would be REALLY helpful.

My guess, unfortunately... would be custom. :\

In all my days looking for metal parts and bits for various costumes... I've never seen anything that looks "quite" like that.
The closest being period replicas for medieval belts etc... but even then, those are usually custom made by manufacturer.

If you found a jewelry maker, or learned how to sculpt and cast... they do not look like they would be too complicated to replicate?

Also try contacting member CHIRO here.
If I recall he's working on a very nice replica of the Sands of Time gear... he might know more about these eyelets, or has made some?

yeah i have a feeling i'm gonna have to use zipper-heads for the eyelets, and make some resin pieces for the base

then again, if chiro DOES have a source, i'll gladly look it up, lol

sleepyjean17, you sir are a bloody genius.... i'm gonna have a hunt for some that look as close as possible to those ones, and report back for anyone who's interested

haha Happy to help! But I actually just thought of something even better which I should have thought of before. . . . Try searching for "lacers," "pewter lacers," "bodice lacers," "cloak lacers," or "bodice ties" (they are all the same thing). A corset supply shop might be a good place to start for those, or maybe a shop with medieval sewing notions.

Good luck! ;)
