Premiere props sucks.....

PP just told me "In the future we will recommend third party shipping so that you can work directly with another company and obtain your items within 1 -2 weeks from when you set up shipping with them".

I wonder how exactly that will work and how much more shipping will cost. I don't think that makes me feel much better. Geez, just how difficult can it be to ship something?:angry

So now they say they shipped my items and I should expect an email with tracking. Never happened. I'm only in the next state over so if they really did ship anything I will probably get it before I get that email. We'll see.

This place sounds like a disaster waiting to happen and their customer service doesn't sound too good either. Sadly low prices will keep people buying.

Whoa... wait a minute... You mean I could have arranged for a pickup and gotten this piece a long time ago?!? I have friends who work less than two miles away from them... I didn't realize that was an option!!!

Yeah, you can stop by their warehouse anytime you want and get your stuff. Back when I still bought stuff from them, I'd attend the auctions in person, paid at the end and walked out with my winnings... Never had to wait more than an hour, and never had anything shipped from them. Not an option for everyone of course, but it's nice if you can get to LA for their live auctions. I used to buy things for other people too since they knew I could get right away and ship it immediately.

Now, I'm not sure if they will allow someone else to pick up your stuff, I think it has to be you... But even driving over from Vegas would probably have been better than the wait you are dealing with. :)

Driving from Tucson is a different story. But hey, I finally received my items yesterday, only 11 weeks after I paid for them. I can only say the packaging was far better than what I've seen before. Even my 400lb mailman wasn't able to inflict damage.

Yes, this is the exact message I gotwhen I asked about their shipping on 7th Jan:

Hello, please allow 10-12 weeks for shipping auction orders. We appreciate your patience. If you prefer to hire a third party carrier you can set up shipping with them much more quickly and we can refund you the shipping already paid. We appreciate your patience and will ship your order as soon as possible.

This is good information to hear, I always browse there website and have looked at there auctions, but only ever bought little items off there ebay store.

Odd. I have bought several things from them, though their site and through eBay and have never had a problem. I always get my stuff promtly, usually within a week.

Sorry you guys are having such trouble. :thumbsdown

They treat direct sales differently as stated in their posted policy. It is only auction purchases that are subject to the odious delays.

The only distinction, I would guess, is that their money is more important than the consignor's when they only get the percentages; but, then of course, the whole time you are getting old waiting for your goods, they have long had your money.

Im not sure if its true but since you have your CC on file do they charge everyones credit card that day. Has that been your experience everyone?

I paid with PAYPAL (cash transfer) the day of the sale which was Dec 11, 2011. I received my lot on Fed 3, 2012.

I do not think that like AMAZON, and other vendors, they charge you the day they ship. Like most auction houses, the bill is due day of the sale and your lot does not progress through the system to shipping until that invoice is marked PAID.

Yeah...slow.

BUT - I did get my money back for an item they broke....or shippers broke.......

premiere props

I recently purchased 2 costumes from their website and im wondering if my outfits are real and not a scam? do premiere props sale authntic items?

Re: premiere props

Go read the other threads on this forum about the company. In my opinion from what I've read you were most likely better off passing on whatever they sold you regardless of what it is or how bad you wanted it. Good luck getting your items in a timely manner......I'd never do business with them.

Re: premiere props

The one costume i bought was shipped in 3 days which was nice. The outfit contained a piece of jewelery and im wondering if that jewelery was the only one they had for filming the one scene.

It was in the perks of being a wallflowerduring the scene with mary elizabeth and charlie at mary elizabeths house. Shes wearing a red dress leather coat bracelets and this tribal necklace.

The stuff they sell on their website is legit (they get it directly from the studios). The stuff in their live auctions you have to be cautious with as a lot of that is consigned from other people, and could be anything...

Usually with props/wardrobe, there's more than one of everything. If the necklace has some unique characteristics that would likely not be on others of the same thing, you can try to screen-match that to the movie or publicity stills... The one you bought has 1100 on the COA, right? That appears to be the only one of that costume Premiere has, and it's very likely it is the one she actually wore in the scenes listed on the wardrobe tag.

Here's a good picture from that scene:

It looks like a store-bought necklace, but look at the wrinkles/folds on the dress, you can probably match up something there if you really want proof... But I wouldn't worry about it, you got the real thing.
