Premiere Props June Auction Problems

Yes, we do on those points.(Belch! :sick) Fire bad...beer goood!

I do think Bonhams has turned a corner with the new live bidding platform and the TCM tie in. Those two will be doing a joint sale in November.

RR is trying to break into the arena, having just had their first sale, but hopeful of more if they can get consignments. True, you have to get past me, but I doubt any RPF member would have a problem as long as it is real.

I am aware of the other issues you raised with more well known business. You might have added JULIENS to the list.

Nate use to buy direct from me, but when I saw what he resold the pieces for, I cut him off. If, his figures are to be believed, he is getting PIH results. He flips a lot of PP pieces, of late.

Maybe, what seems rude to them, or to others, is my frankness and adherence to facts. Some of those threads are a 'mile' long and filled with 100% proof of my findings. 2+2 IS 4. I ask and welcome any fact that shows I am wrong. As you know, Mark, nearly all these proofs were ignored (this when their director was active on the MPF and answered some of my complaints and ended up quitting a week before the Live sale) and those pieces remained unchanged in the sale.
VERY well put, Rick.

Premiere has now pulled EVERY major Star Trek prop from their auction after having been confronted with the evidence that they were fakes. I won't bore non-Trek fans with the details but you can read about it by following the Blog link, below. FWIW, I find it difficult to give kudos to a company for doing what they should have done before they accepted such a high-value consignment. Star Trek stuff is some of the easiest stuff to get info on because it's so well documented.

That, and other reasons, is why this company has a bad rep.

In fairness though quite a few other Major Auction houses also routinely get caught with their pants down and have to pull the items.

I attribute this to simple greed and laziness. :rolleyes
