Premiere Props Horror Story

Care to expand on that?

Just that you claim that every post that Mic makes is pooping on people and yet it seems you have to poop on every post mic makes. Makes you a hypocrit but I don't really wanna discuss it here as it's a bit OT and unfair to the OP.

Oh, don't back out now. If you want to talk about hypocrisy, you express faux concern about derailing the thread now, but you posted previously, with a jab that you knew would inevitably create a derailment. It seems that you DID indeed want to discuss it here, or you wouldn't have posted and would have PMed me, as Mic did, with your concerns. But no... you wanted to make a public spectacle and given your own previous posting style, it isn't at all surprising to see that you feel justified in derailing a thread solely for the vain hope of berating the staff.

(really easy for Mic, since everything he has had to say for the past 6 months has been nothing more than pooping on people)

Do you really need to have "Pot, Kettle, Black" spelled out to you? Your unprovoked attack on Micdavis was classless, tasteless, and uncalled for.

Edit: I'd say you owe Mic a public apology and then we all move on.

New to the forum so I don't want to sound like I am trying to add fuel to the fire but its hard to believe PP's business practices are just now reaching this forum. A friend had auctioned off some VERY high profile pieces with them in the past .
He had to wait 9 months before he was paid and that was after having legal papers sent to them . Tons of emails phone calls always the same BS .
They (pp) used to get almost every new film that came out its really down to almost nothing seems the studios have had enough of the drama to .
These type of live auctions are what its all come down to there is nothing really left if these go so will they . Of all the major auction houses that move movie memorabilia they are right at the bottom . Especially with Dan running things the way he does it will continue .

that our story :
They sold my Starwars Collection 11.738 USD and only after I threaten them with a lawyer and criminal charges the give me the check after 45 days - agremment says 30Days - They always have payment issues - the sold couple item on the 15 September and we found out the item are still in the warehouse - also is very unsual pay after 30Days there is a clear terms and condition on the buyer end Quote " Complete payment is required the day of the auction. Acceptable forms of payment are Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Checks (with bank letter of guarantee), Cash (In House Only) and PayPal but under the express condition that any property purchased by credit or debit card shall not be refundable, returnable, or exchangeable, and that no credit to Buyer’s credit or debit card account will be issued
under any circumstances." Quote so they make intrest in 30 days that one part,
Also the invoices are not clear.
Processing fee 416 - Finale Value fee 333. So we don't know who paid with credit car.
They do not sell on ebay - why ? They have to follow the ebay terms and condition. They use liveauction.com and Icollector.com both a not verifiy the buyer or seller - that are the very bad place you bid on - you can get a fake account and bid the **** just for fun.
We had a stormtroopers sold on Liveauction.com for 4600USD

http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/12675781_star-wars-stormtrooper-figure
He never sold we still have the item so here is something wrong.

My feeling may off but here is something not quite rigth with the Dan Levin company.
I was digging deeper -

i looked that those auctions before thinking wow that might be cool to have. Everything i bid on went pass my limit. no matter what little item or thing it was i never won. i won't be bidding with them anymore. plus the prices were crazy high on stuff. I would rather buy from propstore or ppl that own the items themselves. save us both some money from 23% auction sales cost

Now the word is out,Premiere props has done itself more harm than good. The prop community is small with very long memories. It's a small pool with lots of fish and very few sharks, easy to spot. It's a shame some opportunistic individuals try and spoil our hobby for financial gain, but it happens in all hobbies as far as I can tell. Will,be avoiding Premiere from now on.:thumbsup

Two weeks ago I was on I collector. I bought a medallion from pirates of the Caribbean. The ONLY reason I bid on it is because the host said Keira knightly wore it. After the auction I started researching and of course she never wore this piece. In their description they mention her name but not that she wore it. I think it is very deceptive and I am going to give it right up to the 45 day PayPal time then file a complaint since I am sure I won't have it by then.

Is this the auction ?

Pirates of the Caribbean: Black Pearl Medallion

If it is, then I don't understand.

As you say, the description does not mention she wore it

"Who wouldn't want to save Keira Knightley (playing Elizabeth Swann), even if you have to deal with the "undead"? This medallion was used in "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl", the first in one of the most successful movies series of all time. (approx. 2 1/4" diameter)"

Yes, the mentioning of her name is 'jazzing it up', but I don't think it can be classified as misleading in any way.

Yet you also say the 'host' mentioned she wore it. What do you mean ?

"We have here a medallion worn by Keira Knightly in pirates of the Caribbean". That is how it was misleading. Only after the auction was over did I go back and read the description. While I can chalk that up to not paying attention, but when the host of the auction in fact states it was worn by her... Well I wouldn't have bothered bidding on it otherwise.

You must be new to Premiere... Never listen to anything the guy on the video says, he has no idea what he's talking about. He's just a hired radio host or something, knows nothing about props...

As for the medallion, I don't ever remember Keira wearing anything other than the gold Aztec coin (although I could be wrong about that), which this obviously is not... Did you want _that_ medallion, or where you just interested in it because you thought it was worn by Keira?

Another tip- If it was supposedly touched by Keira in Pirates, it will likely sell for much more than $100... :)

I wanted it because it was in a major movie and thought was possibly worn by a principal actor. It doesn't matter at this point. All I do know is it needs to be here by the 45 day mark. There is not any valid reason why it shouldn't be.

Where does it say that ? That is what I am not understanding.

This is the auction description.

Or did they change the wording ?
