PREDATORS - MOVIE INFO

It has to do with piracy and other concerns.
I have asked the head of one of the big distributors in my country for the reason and logic and was told "don't ask".
There are departments in the studios that plan out the release dates well before time of completion of the film.
I know it sucks but they hold the reins not the fans i'm afraid. :)

Also if your territory has had a problem with piracy then that will also effect the release date.
If your cinema is caught coping films your days of showing films or even staying in the industry,......are over.

It has to do with piracy?

that has to be one of the most flawed peices of logic i have ever read.

Surely a fair amount of the piracy COMES from people having to wait X amount of days/weeks/even months longer.

Whoever came up with that GEM should be kicked in the undercrackers and never allowed to work in the film industry ever again.

All i know , is the 4 weeks or so we have to wait will be torture for many a fan here. :)

I hear ya Lee
I may not get to see it at all on the big screen and have to wait for the DVD (like i did with AVP-R), which sucks

I attended Wonderfest in Louisville this weekend.

Two of the guests were going to be Nimrod Antal and Greg Nicotero.
They had to cancel last minute due to editing issues they had to take care of.

But, Harry Knowles from Ain't It Cool News came and brought with him a surprise.
Greg Nicotero, as way of an apology for not being able to attend, provided us with an exclusive behind the scenes look at PREDATORS. Specifically, a look at the "classic" Predator from the movie.

Harry did call Robert Rodriquez while he was there and we got a chance to ask a few questions.

I asked about the multi laser sight scene that's in the trailer...whether it was actually in the film or modified for the trailer. Robert stated that, while there are several Predators in the movie, that particular scene was "enhanced" just for the trailer.

Anyway, here are some shots of the video we got to see. Some are a little fuzzy as I was trying to take pics of the video in the dark. But, you can still get a great look at it.

Pay particular attention to the pic with the Pred masks. You can clearly see that there is a regular version and a heavily damaged version.

There are over 80 pics, so I'm not going to upload them here.
But, you can check them out in my Photobucket site...

EDIT: I hope the pics of the mouth opening, was just testing range of movement, as it looked AVP wide which is too wide.

Im also blah about the actual paint up on the skin and head, but im guessing it will look better when in movie mode

stupid 3 month wait now :)
