Looking @ a sky like that you would wonder about your own existence and your place in the universe.

Haha Yeah, but if you stand around philosophizing for to long you'l end up hanging there with no skin forget the pretty sky and run you fools.............

Alright, first off - I think that Narin deserves some kind of recognition. Seriously, was Narin in on this movie? I see heavy influence, not only in armor design, but (ugh.. I can't believe I'm going to say this because I'm tired of the Resevoir Dogs references) Mr. Black's head. While I'm at it, thanks for the Tarantino references ... Hanzo, Mr. Black. Really? Man, I am impressed. He's impregnated himself into a movie that he had nothing to do with.

So, is it gonna be "Predators," or "Robert Rodriguez Presents: Predators?" I don't remember it being "John McTiernan and his wily bunch bring you: Predator." Or, "Stephen Hopkins and his Big Band present: Predator 2."

Ya know, this whole "Ipod Vs. 8-track" has got me giggling. Or cassette player... whatever, I had both. Anyway, the idea is that the "new" Predators are supposed to be the new level of Predator bad-assed ness. While, incorporating the older design in for... fun? Or merely so that the audience could associate the movie with the actual creature, and not something so new and radical that you'd be like "What the **** movie is this." So, we'll throw in "Old-Hat" to please the fans, then we'll kill him off. Because, as Predator fans, that's what we're used to... right? Hahaha.. now you're with me. Alright, let's get nuts.

First of all, what the **** is Old-Hat even doing on that planet? If I remember right, Rodriguez or Nimrod (really?) said that the new Predators were so ******* bad-ass crazy that no other Predator would DARE mess with them. Ok.. I'm gonna poke a huge hole in that logic right now. The Predator species pride themselves on hunting things. Things of nightmares, and other untold horrors. Not to mention, that an honorable death is a HIGH achievement for these creatures. If you die in combat against a strong opponent, you're a ******* hero even if you die. Now, the "no one wants to mess with" line is crap. Logically, there'd be Predators lined up to beat the **** out of ...*ugh* Mr. Black and his friends. The whole Predator mythos is that they throw themselves into impossible challenges to succeed (not always, but **** it they are heroes anyway). Why hunt something you are way superior to? Why not drop your balls and man-up. Sure, Predator was a good example. He was superior in every way, but he fell to a human because he wasn't paying attention. Pride killed him as it did the Predator from the second movie.

I'm not being funny now, but this movie seems to have elements from that whole " Backwoods, Inbred, Retard, Hillbilly" genre. They're kinda out of the way, they do what they want to, and probably **** themselves. I don't know, I'm just saying. But that's the vibe I'm getting. Subspecies or inbred, whatever... it's all explained in the helmet-less pics.

What I don't get is, that with as much pride as the Predator race seems to have, why would they allow such abominations to live? Why didn't any of the Predators have their helmets on at the end of AVP? This was answered by Tom and Alec with the special features... "Because they'd be able to see the embryo." Bam. There you have it.

Rob, as much as I share your love for the originals, I really think this is going to be fine. Once Predators pries open the door for further instalments, we will see all sorts of Preds.

I see some of you points Rob and agree with the view that its BS that the super preds are so badass the normal preds wouldnt mess with them. They would want to have a go to prove themselves. Perhaps the movie will explain things better, either way im still psyched

Rob, I see what you're saying, but I really think you will change your mind once you've seen the movie.

Mr Black and his two accomplices are larger than the Classic 8-track Pred and they seem to have no honor system at all. Since when has a Predator EVER taken a prisoner and chained it to a tree to torment and torture??! These "Super Black Predators" are very different from what we have been accustomed to. This is a good and bad thing. I understand your desire to see a slightly different Predator thats not too different, and yet still very much recognizable for the fans. Like how the P2 emulated the P1. Different, but still very much Predator.

These new Predators are berserkers...there is no limit to the destruction or carnage they can cause. Thats why they are a rogue team not on the Pred planet. They found this vacant planet that suits their needs of torturing and hunting an victims they choose...even another Predator.

The rules that we are used to don't apply to these bad ass Preds. No honor, killing their own...and who knows what else.

Ya gotta keep an open mind for this movie. Things never stay the same. If they do, they get stagnant and stale. The original movie will be a classic which will never be duplicated. Thank goodness for that. Lets savor that movie for the awesome that it was, and give the new movie a chance to impress (and scare) the crap out of us!

Ditto i can see some of your points man but i think your over thinking it, who says predators aren't on their way to take on "mr black" etc and they're just stuck in traffic or something?
Lol i just mean we dont know specifics until the movies out so theirs no point in complaining about it yet.

Perhaps we are writing our own sequel as we speak...... the classic type preds hunt the beserkers down(if any survive and dont spoil it for me ). Im looking forward to seeing a show down between P1 and a beserker!

It seems many are using the P1 seen in these photos as reference to say that this is the same Predator from the 1987 movie Predator. Correct me if someone here knows I'm wrong, but I have a question. How do you know for sure that this is the same Predator? Is it simply because of his appearance? Did RR or an inside source say something I don't know about? Or is everyone making assumptions based on the look-a-like P1?

It is so funny that you should mention that Rob because I emailed Narin myself and this is what he had to say about it granted his english is a little off, but this the email in it's entire form

I don't know or not if you are aware that one of your model sculptures
made a reference to the big screen called the Super Black Predator in the new
film called "PREDATORS" and I believe he is based on your Death Warrior
Sculpt let me know what you think.

You want a Predator homeworld? Or at least a planet inhabited by Predators? (considering this may not be the planet predators originated) Check out the planet that Wolf leaves to clean up Colorado on planet Earth in AVP-R!

It is NOT the same predator from the first movie. They made that predator looks like the original as a sort of homage to Stan.

I don't think it's the same Predator either. A.) Because P1 is killed by Dutch. B.) Because the P1 look-a-like in PREDATORS doesn't look like he's going to survive in the film.
