Rob, I think Sabres was more upset when you said "**** off" or **** you or something "****" that seemed like it was aimed towards Sabres.
I think that was just a misunderstanding...
I hear that, and no - there was nothing deliberately, or intentionally aimed at Sabres. I am sorry if it came out that way; that was not my intention. I've never attacked another member of this board for as long as I've been here. Also, I think I've been really good about keeping my swearing down. If you swear all the time, it becomes expected and loses it's impact.
Now, onto the topic at hand -
I really think the pic of the Predator with the damaged bio looks cool. Although, I think too many artists rely on Photoshop to make their **** look good. Still a very wicked, and intense depiction. Then there's the shot of the Predator just kinda standing there. One thing I really don't like, and it just bugs my ass, is that the cannon pauldron is way to close to the Predators head. The Original Predators pauldron was farther out, hanging over the shoulder bell. I've come to expect it that way, and anything else just doesn't look right to me. But if you think about it, in the original they didn't have CGI, so that thing was loaded with gunpowder at times. Design aesthetic, or safety measure, I don't know - but if it's too close it looks way off to me.
Yes. The Predators have always had huge heads. Keep in mind the masks were sculpted over the head of someone who was 7 foot 4. Not only that, they were exaggerated as well. If you watch Predator or Predator 2, notice how long the fingers are on the hands (especially in P1), and how huge the feet are. They did this to kind of "round out" the design. The Predator is NOT proportionate like people are. They have big heads, big hands, and big feet. Also, you have to keep in mind that when a Predator is wearing a helmet his will only appear bigger. Thats something on top of something that's already big. But on a 8 foot frame it looks awesome and intimidating. Now, Rodriguez went with "average" sized Predators ( I say that because I know alot of people that height. I don't know anyone over 7 ft), so yeah it might look a litte off kilter...or just wonky. Personally, I don't know why he went with the shorter actors. Is it cheaper to digitally alter height, or add different perspectives than it is to just find actors over 7 feet? LAME I say. Lame. There's one dude that springs to mind...
