Predators Ii

Anyone hear anything about the plot for Predators II coming out next year. I assume it will pick up where Predators ended. It looks like Adrian Brody will be back. A female predator would be an interesting addition.

I saw a site that showed what will be coming out in 2013, and Predators II was listed. I hope they are correct. Picking the movie up where Predators ended would be excellent. Rodriguez had stated that he would like to do a series of Predator films. How does one top Mr. Bllack...steroid predator?

Ha.. Well things get by us, but there hasn't been talk of it. I'm friends with RR's niece, Electra.. She was busy reprising her role in the new Machete film. Last I spoke with her, Preds was not on the plate anytime soon

Are they really going to make a sequel to PREDATORS?

That all depends on whether or not they can beat their Super RuPaul Predator designs from the first movie. Personally, I'd like to see a departure from the transvestite predators in favor of disabled predators, the main one would be in the wheel chair and would smell like cheese has been fermenting in his arm pits. Sure, we don't have smell-o-vision, but it can be implied, right?

The other two in the merry band should have tourettes and down syndrome. The plot, or so I heard, includes the disabled hunters chaining up a Super RuPaul Predator and chopping his head off, only to be killed buy a skinny guy with arms that rival the thickness of a snicker's bar.

I also think they should make up a third race of Predator-like creatures, distant relatives, and these three main Predators should be from that race. They should have wings and breath fire and they're the strongest race of Predators, for even the disabled ones are super mega strong. Also they should get tails, I don't know why but I think it would look cool, see, instead of dread locks, they should have one giant dreadlock that functions as a tail.

What ever the sequel to this incredible piece of story telling and justice to the original films ends up being about, I'm sure I will enjoy it.

...by the way, are you wondering who is rumored to be playing the human hero character? Sources say, Justin Beiber. OMGCANTWAIT.

I'm whistling like a tea kettle already. Really. OMGOMG.

brody wouldn't know jack about the next movie.....lol..i told him it would have been noble and awesome if he killed himself along with the beserker, he agreed that would have been a cooler ending

rodriguez on the other hand does,.... here is his quote..

"Robert Rodriguez is currently in prep on the Sin City sequel, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. Still, he made time to swing on down to Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas and Shock had a brief moment to chat with him.
The last time we spoke to the Planet Terror director was during the press tour for Predators.
At the time, he told us that he was not ruling out another Predator; when we asked him about it over the weekend, replied: "We were thinking about it. I don't know, I'll have to talk to them. They just had a regime change over there - we'll see what happen." (He's referring to 20th Century Fox co-chair/co-CEO Tom Rothman's decision to step away from the studio at the end of this year.)"

lOl, Bensin.
I agree with the gist of what you're saying, buddy. But, damn! Do you have to put it so crudely! Funny none the less though. As far as another 'Predators' is concerned, I think/feel they need to let sleeping dogs lay, and gracefuly walk away from the whole 'Predators' deal. There seems to be a slow, continuous deviation from the Predator of 1987' with each Predator film that's released ( with the exception of P2). With each film adding its own spin, interpritition or trying to out do the last film's pred, we are starting to see the original predator concept "die". As badly as I would LOVE another Predator film, I would rather go with out ever haveing another released than see another ruination brought to screen.

I quite agree. I can watch P1 and P2 a hundred times. All the others are NOT "predator" movies---they are just monster movies with characters that look like the Pred.

I love the sequels other than the two AVPs. I'm actually a big fan of Robert Rodriguez, he's one of the reasons why I want to be a film director. I happy with the "series" as it is, if they left it be, I'll be fine but if they made another one, I'll be happy because Schwarzenegger is back to acting! I think that I read an article that said that He wants to reprise the role of Dutch among of his characters in other movies. Here's my idea for Predators "part 2", they can have it where the new batch of predators send down people that killed a predator before for a deadlier hunt and to see if the predator species really had truly "evolved" and Royce would fit in there too as like the new Noland type character. Thats just my idea... but the original is the best and no sequel or reboot can do what the original did. The original, you thought that it was another action Schwarzenegger film but half-way into it BAM! it turned into a Sci-fi film and you got to figure it out with the characters! See with sequels and reboots, you know that its the same kind of film because of the title, you also know that it a sci-fi film and what the creature is and you have to wait for the characters to figure it out. They tried to get that same BAM element in Predators but because of the internet leaks way too much info, you knew everything like they're not on Earth, there's a new species of predators, they're were chosen and that Edwin was a psycho killer. My main point is that I love all of them except for the two AVPs, I would enjoy another but if they left it alone, I wouldn't be brokenhearted about it.

It seems my question has stirred things up a bit. That is what I enjoy about the Lair, knowledgeable members responding with passion and insight. As for me, I would like to see the Predator genre continue as long as the plots were well thought out, and the characters were interesting. Remember, the Yautja have been hunting here for a long time. Why not go back in time, and have a hunter show up in Viet Nam, or the Civil War, the possibilities are endless. We love this creature, that is why we belong to this site. Who knows what types of creatures could be created from this civilization of fearsome aliens. That would mean more costumes for us to make., and more **** to argue about. We are here to keep the Yautja alive, and kicking, it works for me! Well, that's my rant for today, right now, "I'm gonna have some fun tonight", and go work on my pred. for Halloween. Rock on brothers, and sisters.
