Ive decided to foam the head so itll never be wearable, going to do this in the next couple of days , then i can intstall the baby dreds


Oh and new latex arrived yesterday so the mold will be pumping out a army of P2's soon

well , head has been foamed, more from nessescity as the post the head was on was bending the mask making the curve of the head constant, grrr

so i partially filled the head then sat it so the curve was more natural and the way the sculpt was. the result is i will not need to fill it anymore, it retains the correct curve and could be worn in the future.

there happy now ?

I have some custom eyes coming, in the next week or 2 , so ill get a quick pic in then showing the eyes with the baby dreds. and maybe even some news on the base

still not sure what to do about a neckring, i think i may try find one to buy for now.

i know its not technically part of the mask , but as this is now more likely ( as most of my stuff is ) a display peice, i figured id show how im going with the base.

its a 12inch high cube, 15 inches wide/deep etc. Made from simple hardboard with a mdf top and 2x1 battons to keep the shape rigid.

I 1st drew out a pattern which was similar to the mayan pllars in the drug lords apartment, ( similar to the upcoming base for the sideshow P2 ) I had to stop at doing a whole section of the pilar as it would have been too big, so i just cut it down to a point where i thought it still looked ok.

i forgot to take a picture at that stage, i was going to make all the sections for detail out of wood , but that wood ( pun intended, ok gimme a break it still early ) have made it very heavy, so i just cut up a cardboard box, as its alot quicker and lighter, after the 4 sides have been done ill brush the whole thing in a coat of gelcoat resin, and try to stipple some texture into it. anyway i rememberd to take a photo before i fully coverd one of the sides, all the black pattern will be coverd in cardboard. I have purposely not been to exact with the cardboard cutting, hoping it will make it look alitlle aged. ( yeah probably not huh )
The straight lines are double thickness cardboard, and the triangles wil be single peices.

Im thinking grey, to try keep with the stone feel.

no idea if this is going to work , but it is not costing me anything as this is all crap i have lieing around, i suppose foamies would have been alot easier, but hey live and learn if it goes **** up

well its pissing down with rain, ggrrr.

so i started it inside pretty sure i havent got too many brain cells to kill, so ill be doing this in stages to try preserve the few i have left hehe.

Hopefully i can finish the resin off tomorrow after work , then paint the base in the coming week.

The custom display stand is killer.Its got a very cool unique look to it.Definately made for the P2 head which bad ass as well.
