First of all I want to say that im really happy that you are posting pictures from the mould to, that will really help me understanding how you get the mask hollow.

now a question: you have sculped teeth, but you now want to use the screen used teeth, witch I understand, but are you sure they have the right size, I mean you could have made your sculp smaller then the screen used head? Also, do you have to remove the teeth on your sculp now and resculp the area with the new teeth?

Just post pictures of everything, thats what im trying to say

As i said above, i will not be molding the mask until the teeth get here, that way if there are any adjustments to be made i can hopefully make sure they fit. If the area is wrongly sized i will amend it assuming it looks ok .

im all for lee usin the screenused teeth

i think thats an awesome thing to do for a mask

andrew i didnt think this mask could get any better but you definately proved me wrong

One thing I have never understanded is how you make the mask hollow? The sculp you have done is solid, so how can you make it hollow and how do you know if it fits your face?
I hope your moulding pictures will help me understanding this.

Ill try briefly explain as im not going to be molding anytime soon.

You make a 2 part plaster mold OVER your sculpt.
then you seperate the 2 sections of the mold.
dig out all the clay.
you then have a hollow negative of your sculpt.
put the 2 halfs together and pour latex in, then when its dry you again split the 2 halfs and pull out your latex mask.

THE ABOVE IS VERY BRIEF, so i suggest i you are curios in the mean time, look on youtube or google 2 part plaster molds.

whether it fits well is pot luck as its a predator, not human, so thats why people foam fill to get a better fit hopefully.

dig out all the clay??

Does that mean you loose your original sculpt?!! That's horrible, and after all the effort...even if you do have a latex copy :)

Yeah the sculpt itself is fooked after the molding process, hense why i hate molding, if it goes **** up , everything is lost :(

fingers crossed eh :)

package sent bro....i sent it via pony express so it might take while ..the horse gets tired swimming the pond

LMK when ya get it. take break till it gets there :)

Wonder if painting on a coat of an oil-like substance onto the sculpt first, would allow for the plaster or gypsum mold halves to be released without harming the sculpt.
