Got my Dark Horse Predator today

Pass....AVP designs are nothing but gaudy fanboy armor, wanked up human looking faces. ADI hacked what was once a great legendary creature into some cheap flea market knock off. For ****** sake all the work was done already for them, two of the guys use to work for Stan, and still they took a steamy pile over everything especially the design. The functionality of the blades are extremely questionable. No way that much metal can be hidden in to those gauntlets until they are deployed. Furthermore, who the hell is going to have that much weaponry on both arm in a real battle that requires agility?! They didn't think any of it through. They just sat around stroking egos saying, "we need bigger everything! That will sell more seats!" Shame, I look at the comics and weep for what could have been...

While I enjoyed the conceptual designs of the AvP Predators they were poorly executed on screen. However, I didn't think it could possibly get any worse than AvP, then they came out with Predators, if you think AvP was bad...it doesn't hold a candle to Predators.


EDIT: The new NECA AvP stuff looks great, but I will be waiting for the 1/4 scales to come out, they're virtually guaranteed for release.

While I enjoyed the conceptual designs of the AvP Predators they were poorly executed on screen. However, I didn't think it could possibly get any worse than AvP, then they came out with Predators, if you think AvP was bad...it doesn't hold a candle to Predators.

Hopefully we get more Preds in 1/4. I would really like to own Wolf in that big scale...

Agree, that would be incredible. They're probably holding off as long as they can so they can profit from crappy Kenner remakes. I read somewhere, maybe it was on here, that "retooling" or something like that was an excuse they used, specifically regarding the cost of making a new Wolf.

I really have a problem with the end of AVP. How in the hell would a self respecting Pred let 'that' happen to him and then finish out the action as if nothing happened and not 'do himself' in. Ridiculous ending. Not as disappointed in Predators as some here seem to be other than the Berserker concept. I have a few movies I shut off before the very end since they are better that way. AVP is one of them. Sorcerer is another...
