PREDATOR/PREDATOR 2 Action Figures from NECA

Ok it's offical Im going to need a new figure shelf for these.Still need to get the damn Falconer but the tracker and hound have sturck my intrest.Might even pick up the masked classic.

It was the same on the first release.. no idea unless they do it across the board on this type of figure in case of painted blood, skulls, spinal columns, etc...
Never bought a NECA Predators figure, so yes, I glanced at the photo's here, only to just now see the 17+ sign :D

Just, hilarious, the toy being around the same rating as the film itself.

It's the age rating of the movie... it's not about the toy itself, it's about the violence of the movie. If you think about it, it's a toy about mass murderers and serial killers... not suitable for a child to watch or play with...

By the way... my Pinhead figure has the 19+ sign on it.
Then why is it on the packaging?

I already said, children arent suposed to play with mass murderers, serial killers, guns and these kind of toys...

I know it's only a movie, but still...

Would You like to see your son playing with this?

And besides that, if a child gets the toy, he/she will want to watch the movie...

probably will get that two pack and eventually all other predators of the classic series, I'll skip the Predators versions though.

Ironicly, we do buy our kids knights and trolls, GI Joe's/Action Man and stuff. It looking a bit more realistic (and fantasticly produced) as Predators wouldn't mean much of a difference IMO.

As a kid, I ******* loved Transformer Toys, though the cartoon was met with mixed feelings. I was scared shitless by the voiceacting as a 4 year old, but I did love the action and designs.

Yes, but these cartoons are for kids! Nobody is killed on these shows. Remember when the airplanes explode in the GIJoe cartoon? The Cobras always escape in a parachute! And there's always the speach about freedom, justice, truth, honor, and loyalty (like in Thundercats cartoon). And dont you remember about He-Man teaching the kids about wrong and right in the ending of each episode? Knights, Transformers and GIJoes are heroes that inspire kids to do the right thing... while the predators are the opposite, they are the bad guys, living just for killing and killing just for fun! There's no message here, they're not for children's eyes! :)

You're missing the point, and over here in Holland we have a similar discussion going on since there is a poster of a Dutch Santa Claws-version, on which the bringer of gifts faintly looks like a zombie when up close.

Point is: neither Predator toy or that poster is harmfull to anyone past the age of 6. The films might, but the representation of it is quite suitable for people under the age of 17. For crying out loud, people are allowed to drive cars around that age in most of the US.

Might depend on where you are. Wave 2 of the Predators figures will surely get here before the two-pack though. We all remember how long it took for TRU to get ahold of even a couple crates back in late July/early August.

will these be to scale with wave 1 and 2? 'cuz i'll have all 3 Super Preds from the new film and I'm debating if I shud buy this P1 interchangeable head figure. If not, I'm just going to buy the masked battle damaged P1.

Yes they will be in scale, u wont have to worry about that at all!
