PREDATOR/PREDATOR 2 Action Figures from NECA

any idea where in austin he got it at?

Thats the TRU close to Barton creek mall? I thought they only had one open, and close the other one. Weird. Don't bother looking at the TRU Express at the Outlet mall. They don't have ****, I went today. Maybe around march they will carry the ones they don't sell...

Christmas was a win for me!Yes!The new Preds are great.I had a tiny snap with Shamans staaff thanks to his tight ass grip but its not noticable at all.

I love the MK Cyborg pack I saw at TRU. I didn't like the larger MK figures but loved the smaller ones better. They so fit in with scale of the GIjoes lol...

I've got all my figures, and unfortunately, I had to use the internet. The Toy's R US's around here just flat suck. I seriously spent an entire day driving around to the many different ones in my area... only to be disappointed at each store. Super **** lame.

Anyways, the figures themselves are just awesome! The sculpts and proportions are fantastic. The paint, eh, not so much. I knew they wouldn't be top-notch, but I can always repaint them. Hell, at least they resemble the characters' patterns. The McFarlane figures weren't even close. Not to mention that their "blah-biddy-blah points of articulation" were USELESS on a figure that'd been sculpted in a pose already. What the **** are points of articulation going to do in that situation? "Oh, perhaps I could move his arm a bit this way. OH! I can always cock his head of the side a bit! Oh, holy **** I can't believe I bought these. I will sleep in my bed of tears tonight." Also, I do not have a problem with my NECA figures standing on their own... even with loose feet joints. So, suck on that, Todd. Not to mention, that McFarlanes figures were just as expensive back in the day as the NECA figures are now. So, I figure that a huge win. Also, with their popularity, I hope that the larger versions are released. That would be the icing on the cake for me. Because, ya know, I need more **** crowding my living space. Bring it on, NECA!!!!!

and onyx, unfortunately i know what a "locust" is but i got the ps3 and sadly have never actually played the game :(

but your execution is nice though bud. i guess from my perspective i'd have to say it's not a cool "locust" predator, just a really cool predator :D

Well, I didn't want to make it too Locusty.

Working on my Elder's head at the moment. I did abit of shading on the armour aswell, just needs a few touch ups on the forehead and then the dreads...

Went to my local TRU today and they had 8 of the two-packs on the shelves. I would have picked up an extra one but we had an unexpected bill show up. I would have loved to do this for another lair member. For anyone in central Ohio area, they were at the store in Dublin.

Hello Everyone! Joined the site a few weeks back but this is my 1st post. If anyone is looking for the 2 pack in PA, I was in the York and Lancaster area today and found at least 20 of them. I started looking at this thread bc my as soon as I opened my Elder I got today both arms and the left leg snapped immediately. I am almost embarassed to admit that I have sat here the past 3 hrs and read all 82 pages of this thread. Anyways love the Pred figs and look forward to joining the discussion.

Gears of War "Locust" style Predator. Total repaint of City Hunter. Still have to paint the gloves.

Yes!!!! I am a huge Gears fan and love the execution of this guy. He looks pretty sick bro.

It would so cool if the Gears-verse and Predator universe collided in graphic novel form or at least a one shot. Hades, I would even settle for a fan made animated feature.

Great work!!!

Me too man.The MK ninja 4 pack is awesome as well in my opinion. The switchable heads are a bitch to get off but I did a modification where they come off easy but the head switch is kick ass and the "FRIENDSHIP" doll accessories look cool too.But as far as best figures go yes Cyber Ninjas are the best so far.I actually repainted my 6 inch MK9 Scorpion and Sub Zero.Well Sub Zero is almost done.

Oh my god, I am so disappoint.

I went to Forbidden Planet (sci fi type store) with the intention of getting Shaman and Boar today and all I can say is, I think the UK got utterly shafted with the figures that have been shipped here. The paint jobs are appalling. The ones on Boar in particular look like a five year old have done them! I know I have minimal painting skill but seriously, I could have done better. Much better. There was no way I was wasting £15.99 on one of those figures. They did have the two-pack in stock but again, I think we got shoddy paintjobs on that too. City Hunter? Sh*tty Hunter more like!

So I didn't get either of them. SADFACE. Not that I care, I bought the Alien Vault book instead and it is awesome. There was also a book about Stan Winston's work but I resisted buying that as well, it's a little out of my budget at the moment.

Grrr! I was looking forward to having some new figures!

Meant to tell you, think this guy reminds me of the old Kenner "Scavage" Predator with the redish/brown hair.

:Looks good.
