Predator 2 Sculpture

Thanks lasnakes, I got very lucky molding this thing. Minimal air bubbles! Thank god.

A trick I use to prevent bubbles in the casting is to spray the mold with water. This presoaks the surface and prevents air bubbles from forming on the surface. Also if you want to be extra safe you can take an air hose from a compressor and blow the air bubbles away.

I am working on the mandibles all day today. Sculpting those with Monster Clay. Not sure how I should mold them, I guess the best way is to cover them with silicone...

Been following this on Facebook, brilliant job, it's the first time I've seen the foam filling out of a mask, I never knew it was removable
 
It can be removable, I sprayed the inside of the mask with mold release before I poured in the soft expanding foam.

then I went in with a box cutter and carved away the foam to make eye holds and a space for my head.

Thanks for the tip,man.I will definatly have to do a stone mould for my next project ,never made one before.its just so facinating to see a latex mask pulled fresh from the mould in its rawest form :)
