Speaking of, I've always been a bit partial to the mini-gun with laser scope from Resident Evil. That's sweet.

Yeah, when I was watching it last weekend, with my girl friend, she said "what kind of guns are those supposed to be." She hates guns, but they were so over the top, she couldn't help but notice them. We laughed, and picked on them through most of the film, but I just figure if I end up doing a predator display, it only seems right to eventually add some replicas of the Predators opponents props.

I was excited when I saw that they said it was a "Denix 'Catalonian' replica pistol". It does look close. Does anyone know where we can get them cheep? (or if anyone might now how to do a bulk order, for predator fans?)I looked on Ebay, and on the net, and I found non on the bay, and few instock on the net. (if any) But some times there are sites that escape my searches.

I think I even posted a thread here asking about this once--this is a pretty sick discovery for me. The lost hunters/flintlock scene is one of my faves.
Same here. If I could get one of those Denixs, it would be easy to make the new side plate, and then I could just take it to one of the local engravers, and have the text added.
There is a place at the mall that has engraved custom, and home made items for me before. They do it really cheep for stuff they sell in there story, they charge a little more for stuff from else where. They just tell me, "hey we will give it a shot, but if we screw up, and kill your item, it's your problem", but so far they have done great work for me. (they just have to cover themselves so they don't end up having to try to replace something they don't stock.)

Heh, my dad used to engrave guns for a living--he can have that side panel whipped out in no time. If he'll do it for me...he drags his feet on crap!

Yeah, I feel the same way. $100. and up, is a lot to pay for a Denix. Most of them sell for around $50. to $75. So, I'm hopping to find this one, in at least that range. (if not cheaper)

I couldn't even quite fit my hand around a desert eagle. That grip is massive! And I couldn't imagine carrying one all day. It's like a cinderblock you kill rhinos with.

WTF is it with props. The one the movies use is always some ultra rare variant or out of production or whatever. You have a guy holding a pen, it looks like a Bic, but it turns out it's some ****ing Yugoslavian ballpoint produced in 1984 that has a slightly shorter cap than a standard Bic and the ink contains the whipped testicular ashes of a Buddhist saint, or something. Or whatever. It's endless.
