$1,000 at first glance put me off, but when I realized that it was actually a set of books, some high quality prints, AND that replica book in a nice display box it didn't sound as inflated. Especially when taking into consideration it is $600 on Amazon (according to that article). I am sure they will sell them all.

I have a friend who bought the set, and I just bought the Monster book from her; it's coming next week, so I don't have much info on it yet. I think it's just slightly smaller than the page to screen book.

The set is actually really beautiful from what I hear; the books are top notch quality and the binding/materials are very nice. The Monster book appears to be pretty well made; it's still a production piece, so will exhibit those "production" traits, but it looks like they made a good effort and did a great job of trying to make it more like a prop reproduction and less like a toy. An interesting thing to note is that the eyes look quite different than the original props; I'm wondering if they decided to make it look "friendlier" and more human like, with exception to the color of course. The gums/teeth area appears to be well painted with nice colors too.

Here are some preview pics before it was packed. I'll be taking better photos of it when it arrives!

Got it in the mail today: I have to say it looks way more amazing in person. The coloring, details, and fur all looks really good. Its obvious they put a lot of work into this piece! Very heavy, weights about 8-9 lbs. very solid. Definitely one of the better looking official reproduction replicas I've seen.

Looks bigger in photos, it's actually about 8x10x3 thick.

It is awesome; I bought only this monster book from a friend who bought the limited edition set. I wish I had the other books!

This is the second surprise expensive limited book released this winter. There was also a signed James Bond Archives book for around $1000. I wish they would announce this stuff like 6 months ahead.

That Monster book looks a lot better than the preview images too.

Thanks for the comments; These super sets are great, but damn pricey. I was lucky that she was more interested in the other books than the monster replica. Not many people would do that I think.

The initial preview of images of the monster book looked more toy like; pleasantly surprised that the finished piece looks much more like a prop replica than a toy!

Looks really great ecl! Yours are the best picture I've seen so far.
Made it look completely different from what I would expect it to be.
Amazing addition to your collection! ;)

Even with the price tag, Im still hoping to be able to purchase this set someday.

edit: One thing I'd like to ask, does it look like that the fur its glued to a molded replica on the top.
Or the eyes and title parts, seems to have been place over the fur?

The sculpted areas with the fur are slightly lower then the parts with no fur (like the bald spots, book title areas, eyes). So basically the fur is placed around the "naked" parts. It's pretty interesting, the fur is attached to a felt bottom, which is then glued into the recessed areas in the sculpt that will be covered. The result is a very clean look. Hope that helps! I can try and take some closer photos to show that.

Oh, right, I guess I understood it haha
Anyway, If you could take a couple other closer pictures would still be very appreciated ;)
Thanks

Here are some larger closer pictures. You can kind of see the "channels" where the fur is glued into. The only thing I think they could have done better was make the eye parts a little higher; it looks too low as the fur is pretty thick. But that's being picky! But I'm pretty impressed with the paint job, especially around the pages and gums. Some nice soft airbrushing there.
