I don't think anyone would argue that there's a huge social aspect to making a sale. This is necessary, but not sufficient. (Therefore, WHAT is written can -- and does -- make a difference.)
I may be a lackluster *****, but I'm trying.
Just as a point, almost everything I've posted in this thread came from the mouths of those who have a working career and extensive experience having their work produced. If you don't agree, that's fine, I'm just calling it as I see it...
Well maybe you write better than you read!
This is a thread, as stated in my first post, to encourage all those to post your ORIGNIAL idea. NOT to discuss ideas or how movies get stolen or made.
SERIOUSLY? What is so hard about this thread...Oh I know, it's a bunch no talent hacks that think that by posting their loglines that someone is going to steal their idea and make a blockbuster out of it...
You guys are seriously delusional.
You think that someone reading your AMAZING IDEA on the RPF is going to write the screenplay of the century, randomly submit it to a studio and get it made??? Oh my god!
Nicky, I am sorry to break this to you. But I don't care how many shorts you have made, how many scripts you have written but unless you have a studio exec in your back pocket or can blackmail one, YOU WILL NEVER GET A SCRIPT GREENLIT.....EVER.
This is just the business.
