Re: Post Your NEW WHO...

Egon, great build, but you are so going to regret that tape you used to hold the pannels whilst glueing, it makes getting the surface smooth again so hard. You need to be applying primer soon to soak in and allow a fair few coats to seal the surface and remove the different textures between the taped and untaped parts. Believe me, Im speaking from experience...:lol

Clarence, that early build is exceptional, its so easy these days with all the screen accurate plans available, I admire builds from "before the plans" era when all you had to go off were grainy V.H.S. videos and the pause button.

Jeeze I suddenly feel old,The hardest part to get then was the Hemispheres I remember makig resin ones the finally found a vending company in Scarborough who sold me two hundred capsules couldnt get a full set the same colour.I was staying at my brothers at the time he was a long distance lorry driver,I assembled the shoulders and dome and forgot I had left it on the lawn He came home two o'clock in the morning turned on the kitchen light casually glanced out the window and nearly had a heart attack. It wasn't common to see a Dalek coming out of your lawn in those days....:angel

Re: Post Your NEW WHO...

I'm going to buy a large sheet or two of styrene plastic to cover the skirt in :) I'm doing that to better hide the seam of the split skirt and of course the tape damaged areas :D

My Baron Boutique Tenth Doctor suit. I'm VERY happy with the way this came out. Unfortunately the blue pinstripes do not photograph very well from a distance, but you can still sort of tell they are there.

This is an original piece, from the filming of the latest Christmas special, hitting the screen in December 2009...it's the Doctor's copy of the published Journal of Impossible Things, and the poster advertising a signing. Check the screengrab to see a shot from filming:

Yes, I've twirled the image a smidge (sorry, I don't want it in the lexicon just yet, particularly before the show has been on air). And yes, there IS some text in the book that speaks to the upcoming episode's plot. Without giving too much away, I can confirm that there's a relationship between the apparent author of this book and a character from the Doctor's past.... :angel

Without giving too much away (again)....it was gifted to an employee of the bookshop where the episode was filmed.

Those pictures are intriguing. Especially because I just finished these:

And I've got some other things as well:

The suit has since been tailored in to fit and I made the overcoat myself but don't have any pictures. The sonic needs some new superglue as well, it doesn't hold together so well since I put in a brighter LED.

These are old pics now and I have a new Overcoat that is much more accurate, but I thought I would share these until I get new pics. There's lots of great stuff in this thread by the way, good job to all.

the action pose.

the suit itself. (who can spot the photoshop work?)

Sadly the close up of the suit without the over coat was a bit white washed and when I realized it I was too hot to get all the gear back on and take another.

I have some other props as well, most of which people have in this thread already, TARDIS keys, Tom Baker Scarf, Tom Baker Sonic Screwdriver, a specailly made Box with the seal of Rassilon, and something else that i can't recall. but anyway as I said I'll post those when I take new pics

This is my new series Davros. It took a year to build and is topped off with a fantastic Mfx head. I managed to get a hold of most of the original components for the console.
Still have the ribs and electrics to finish.

Nice work!

Will the electrics in your Davrose be for remote control?

Thanks. By electrics I just mean wiring up all the lights etc. to one battery so he can be moved around without being plugged in. No remote control I'm afraid (way beyond me) but cool idea.
