Treating the characters so massively different wasn't the most offensive part of that crap. The fact that he did a big middle finger and turned around and took a steaming pile of crap on TNG and DS9 saying they don't matter anymore because they were all wiped out by his new timeline is the worst part.

I'm pretty much with the Majority here. Prime Universe. Heck, I consider the prime time line to be a character in on itself, and JJ's Trek destroyed it WITH A FREAKING LAVA LAMP!

Also, JJ's Star Trek doesn't have Garak or The Sisko.

That already exists. 22 episodes, made by Filmation in the early '70s, with most of the original cast voicing their characters, and scripts by Larry Niven AND some of The Original Series' best writers!

I picked up the DVD box set at Wal*Mart for only $15!

Only thing missing is the bumpy headed Klingons, as Rodenberry hadn't thought them up yet!

I agree with this 100%. They'll figure it out as more classic trek fans stop paying attention to the franchise. Heck i'd love to see a series that takes place in the Prime universe's mirror reflection you see in Mirror Mirror.

I dont understand what was wrong with JJ star trek? I loved it. And most peoplke here like movies about time travel and alternate realities, who is to say the original timeline doesn't still exsist in a paral universe?. Cant you enjoy the movie and still enjoy TNG and DS9?
