Resistance Crait Macrobinoculars / Neuro-Saav ND.621 Rangefinder (TLJ VD)
I'm making parts to help you convert your Bell & Howell cameras into an accurate set of Macrobinoculars that Poe uses in The Last Jedi.
Parts will be raw 3D prints in black resin on my DLP machine. These are high quality prints, not PLA filament.
Kits are $50 plus shipping ($5 within the US , $14 International) and should be sent via PayPal as GOODS AND SERVICES (No friends and family please) to trentwhite778@gmail.com. Just put in the notes "Poe Dameron Macro Kit for *RPF Username*".
Kit includes:
Amazon.com : The Outdoor Connection Talon Swivel and Screw Set, Black, 1-Inch : Sports & Outdoors
US shipping should be $8 since a kit will fit in a flat rate box. For international shipping I'll have to get you a quote as I think its cheaper to send non-flat rate.
IMPORTANT!!
The kit is very straightforward for the most part, but please note that I am intentionally leaving the grips UNCURED so that they stay flexible.
This is so that you can apply heat (hair dryer) to them and slowly and gently bend them around the sides of the camera so that they fit nicely. If I cured them, they would be hard plastic and would most likely break rather than bend. So having said that, it is IMPORTANT that you do not expose the grips to direct sunlight until AFTER you have heat formed them to fit your macros. They are being shipped in a black plastic mailer inside a box so that they will not be exposed to sunlight. When you get them, open it up indoors away from windows. normal room lighting is totally fine. Once you have used a hair dryer to heat them and soften them so that they fit, and have glued them in place using CA glue (super glue) or high bond double stick tape or whatever you decide to use, you can then set the camera outside for 5-10 minutes to fully cure the grips if you like. The grips touch the edges of the metal border of the bottom of the camera but have a gap between the edges of the grips and the border on the top. So just start on the bottom, touch it to the border apply some glue, heat, gently and slowly bend to wrap them around the side, stick'em down and DONE!
ALSO, the large and small dials on the front plate are made to fit the screws that hold the real dials on so don't throw those screws away.
