Plastic or Fiberglass

I am getting ready to mold a Senate Guard helmet sculpture, and was wondering what would be the best casting material for the finished product. Fiberglass, or Plastic Resin?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Fiberglass. It is more sturdy in the long haul and will likely stay more true to the original size of your sculpture than something like casting resin. Good luck.

The trouble with Polyester based fiberglass resins is that they become more brittle as they age. Urethane resins maintain their physical characteristics better over time, and combined with fiberglass reinforcement can produce castings that are more durable, with little or no shrinkage.

Oh sure, either type of laminating resin is recommended, only back it with fiberglass. Don't go the cheezy route of slushing casting resin or something...
