This movie is amazing. It doesn't take itself too seriously and it's just the right amount of over the top. Plus lots of a boobs. And a chic gets her face ripped off when she gets her hair caught in a boat propeller. :lol

wow I thought it would suck. might check it out if its local

I LOVE these types of horror movies! Do you think that the 3D added to it or would it be the same in a regular theater?

The 3D added to it in a few scenes but over all I would think 2D would be fine. It was converted after the fact but seemed a lot better than Clash of the Titans.

How do the FX look? On the trailer they looked pretty lousy.

I was shocked that they got Christopher Lloyd and Richard Dreyfuss.

Some of them are okay but some are lousy. But since the movie isn't trying to be too serious it really works. And not only did they get those two actors they also got Elizabeth Shue, Jerry O'Connell, Ving Rhames and Dina Meyer!

It was pretty garbage, but I enjoyed it! Literally got back from seeing it, the babes and Christopher Lloyd made it for me! The CG effects were poor, but the flesh wound effects looked great....the 3D effects didn't add anything to it for me and I could've easily enjoyed it in 2D. In fact I found a lot of the opening scenes were blurry in 3D, for me anyway.

Jerry O'Connell is one paycheck away from Syfy's Sat. movie! :lol

I will see it when it's on On Demand or regular cable.

While I won't try to argue the merits of Jerry O'Connell's career I think he did a great job in this movie. I think he did exactly what was asked of him. Is the movie Oscar worthy? No. It's cheesy, campy and completely over the top. Which is what I think the director wanted. The movie had a specific idea, to make a movie about piranhas and drunk kids, and it delivered 100%.

The movie was great entertainment. Especially if you like lots and lots of gratuitous nudity and gore.

Kelly Brook (brunette) and porn star Riley Steele (blonde)--get all kinds of naked. It's quite titillating.

All these guys and Lloyd and Dreyfuss haven't been in much lately. I guess they gotta eat. :)

The wife and I went to see this Friday night. We went in wanting a Cheesey B-Movie-fest with added 3D, and it's exactly what we got. The FX were so-so in some areas, and really quite good in others. Same with the 3D, like most 3D films your mileage will vary depending on the cinema and the setup. I was surprisingly impressed with the 3D conversion. I think it tells that this film, whilst shot in 2D, was intended for 3D from the start rather than 'Clash of the Titans' where it was done as an after-thought.

It will also probably be the only time I ever see a detached *censored for spoiler* floating around in 3D.

This, like Snakes on a Plane, is a film that can make or break on the audience you see it with. The theater was pretty damned full given it was an 'early' showing on a Friday, and the audience was surprisingly female-heavy. It just made the yelps and occasional screams all the louder. There were at least 2 rounds of applause.

Christopher Lloyd was slipping right back into Doc Brown mode, and Dreyfuss was TOTALLY playing an older, more inebriated version of Hooper. I don't care what the credits say.
