CBM has received a report that Entertainment Weekly Managing Editor Jess Cagle revealed on the Gale King’s AM 1150 talk show that the cover of next week’s issue will give us our first reveal of Ryan Reynolds as the Green Lantern. The issue hits newsstands next Friday, but is usually sent out to subscribers earlier than that. So expect a scan of the photo online next week sometime, I predict sometime before Wednesday.

Y'know, I'm kinda digging that. It's not like bash you over the head "alien" but it does have a more subtle "alien" vibe like what they talked about in previous interviews. And since his power is sort of like controlling a physical "lightbeam" type of thing, I like how it's worked into the costume... kind of like a muscular structure in a way.

I definitely like it more than the Thor stuff we've seen lately.

renolds has the right attitude to play green lantern.... but the suit kinda reminds me of a green spawn suit.

They should have stayed with the original suit
Then make a new suit for the second movie

Not sure about this, the mask looks bad... doesn't fit his face and looks way to copied and pasted on. The rest of the suit, can't really tell until we see more of it and in action... definitely a unique spin.

I like it and don't like it at the same time.

...and the hair is terrible.

The mask in this picture is definitely photoshopped on, expecially around his nose and brow. Looks like the first step was masking off his skin and tinting it. They'll be using a different technique for things that aren't still photos so it should look a little different in action, I hope it's an improvement. Other than that slight quibble with the look of the mask in this picture I like it. Though i am curious if he's going to be all green or have some black areas on the costume too.

For being the first shot, I feel they could have done a better job with that mask. It does look very photoshopped.

I was originally hesitant about the costume being completely CG but I think it makes sense since the costume is produced from the power of the ring. Overall, I'm liking the design.
