Pickle rick advice

Hi, I got a pickle rick costume for very little money and would like to modify it. The costume is made out of polyester foam I think. I would like to add ribs and spinal cord and brain. I'm just not sure what to make it out of and how to attach it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My first thought would be PVC pipe insulation for the likes of the ribs. It's cheap, flexible and easy to carve with any half sharp knife.

depending on the level of finish you want you can just paint it, cover it in fabric, use something like liquid latex etc.
