Pepsi Maul restoration [Norway]

There should be no need. I'm pretty sure those battery packs are the same as my ep3 Anakin...

Use a small piece of electrical tape over one contact point at a time then turn off and on each time until you find the right one!

I can make the anakin do light with no sound and vice versa!

Hope that works for you!

We still want the light, just not the sound. Is it possible to solder off the wire from the soundboard to the battery pack?

I dont think interfering with the battery pack is the right approach... (since that will effectively cut off all power going to the board itself)..

from what I remember (and this could be different)... the battery pack and the speaker were an all-in-one unit..

see about cutting the wire to the speaker instead..

On mine the sound runs seperately on only one of the batteries.

It was a very common thing that was talked about on this forum years ago when these first came out.

My saber is like 8 years old. Still works perfect. I have a second that I conver to have a removable blade..

The bigger problem??? KEEPING THE LIGHT ON!!!

It auto shuts off when left motionless...

Did a bit research here, and SurferGeek made this chart back in 2006. So the sound can easily be stopped.
But that automatic shutdown is a dealbreaker.

Thinking we might have to go for an inaccurate Ultrasabers staff, so we can have the lights on as long as wanted.
The restrictions on the FX is too darn sad.

Why not just gut the electronics and make a dedicated LED circuit that can be plugged in? They you have the accurate saber that can be turned on and off by a switch.

We'll need to make it with a portable powerbank / battery. Can't have it hooked up to a wallmount. And the budget is pretty tight on the saber part.
Much to do on the body.

I say whatever you spend on UltraSabers (yuk)... is better put to use for other electronics.

A Plecter Labs, lower end board would be cheaper..no?

both will require batteries. (you can wire it up to have a re-charge port in it)

Do some research on UltraSabers before you spend the 'tight budget' money on something of theirs.. (might not work for long if at all).. :)

You could always buy two Menace SE stunt sabers (which light up but have no sound) from Ultrasabers and use their coupler. You can do the same with Saberforge by ordering the parts (for the Mauler) and the professional install with their ASP, would cost more than the US, and take longer, but is, from what I've heard, a better quality product.
