"Paul" sword.

I need to see the movie again in something other than eyepatch-o-vision*, but I'm pretty sure the sword that Nick Frost uses in "Paul" has a black handle...
Still, this is pretty close!

Does anyone have any suggestions for painting the kinda cheap metal that wallhangers like this tend to be made from, at all, please?

Also... What would be the RPF stance on casting up some copies of the handle of this, for anyone who wants to costume as The Writer Clive Gollings? Technically it's a found item... As I believe the production team just looked for a cheapo knockoff Cyber Ninja Sword, like I did!

The sword was a Samurai 3000 ninja sword, I remember that because I kept laughing at the price since I've seen the sword before.

It could have been the regular one painted black but I'm not sure exactly. But it's definitely this line of sword.

LOL was my first reaction to that sword at the comic con scene. the price was so dead on for comic con ihahah i knew automatically it was cheapo hahah. i actually have the baton/double sword version of that in my house. its so horribly made its not even safe to handle it lol

Yeah, that one is a knockoff of the United Cutlery version. This is the complete UC set. You can see the differences in the details. They are very sharp too..

They are actually pretty well made for a display sword. It would be nice to replace the SS blade with a Demascus blade.
