part id help

To me, it looks like maybe a cockpit sidewall from an aircraft model kit... a crappily detailed one, but... :lol

on a 5 ft. Falcon, methinks it could come from a 1/72 scale plane...

BTW, is that a Willys jeep windshield frame on top behind the cockpit?

LOL-maybe-Many of these models used in bashing are crap!
Its a windshield from an AMT firetruck:thumbsup

The blue part appears to be a part of a German tank sight/periscope (the kind attached to the gun, not a commander's or driver's periscope). I'm not going off any kit info, just what the part might be in "real life".

Gene
Could be Gene-thanks for the input.A few of the old kits(especially Tamiya)they try to make as true to life as possible

I think the blue part is sprue

remember the SS Slave1 buildup?
one of the parts on the hull was sprue.
Yeah-I remember that!Thats what I originally thought it was(sprue).

The blue part is clearly a gun with some sprue parts
Ill start looking in that direction Tox.Im feeling pretty confident now:thumbsup

Mmm, yeah, that's my best guess.

A big machine gun with the local bits of sprue left on.

Good luck.

Thsnks Mike

Don't know if this helps or not, but here's a slightly different angle on the part (albeit a bit blurred!)...

WOW!Youd better believe that angle helps! Thanks man!!
That 1 pic makes the breakdown alot easier!Heres what I think the breakdown is based on the info I have .It looks a LOT more"identifiable" now

From this angle it does look like a gun!

Looking at that new pic, it suggested to me an aircraft landing gear.

And I'll post my theoretical parts breakdown in a minute :lol

?

I believe the area that suggested a trigger and trigger guard is deceptive: it does not appear in the first image. Also, I suspect the machine gun / landing gear is mounted on top of a plain-er, Lego-like slab with four studs.

Just my guesses :)

That makes a lot more sense Mike-Thanks.The only difference I can see is that the larger stud is definitely connected to the big end part.I have that part and its just like this-

But that flat stud part looks right! The funny thing is -Its starting to look familiar!!!!

Hey guys-
I think this may be more than just coincidence. These guns are the Tamiya Kubelwagen and R75.motorcycles.Not exact but I think its the right track. What do you think?

Actually Mike-it was your pic that made me see the connection.:thumbsupSo thanks so much for that!I still dont understand that wierd sprue thingy on top.
But I think I know what that is also-
This is another part on the Kubelwagen-its probably an early Tamiya-
