Yeah, I've kind of had problems with that feeling, as well. If I did do as you suggest, it wouldn't be a mini gun, per se, in that the six barrels within the clip rotate around the center (In the traditional sense of how mini guns work) and once a barrel reaches, in this case the bottom position, it fires. At least that's how "human" miniguns work and what has driven this design. Now, I guess I COULD pull out the "it's alien technology" card and not think about it that way, but damn it, George, my head doesn't work that way, lol...
OK. As I've envisioned this hunk of plastic, the three windows shown on the clip (Three on each side) would have progressively brighter blue LEDs that would flicker, hopefully creating the illusion that the barrels inside were rotating and "charging" the chambers as the spun around inside. An ultrbright white LED would be in the barrel and fire as well, with each revolution (Hopefully that makes sense). Now, instead of that mentality, do I have the LEDs grow brighter and then cut off when the white one goes on? As in, they grow brighter over the course of 2 seconds and then the white one blasts, and the cycle continues as the bend sensor is activated? Is that how I would continue to have a cool light effect, while having the barrel centered on the clip?
