Our Iron Man Mark IV

Re: Our Iron Man Mark IV (thigh-codpiece mobility video on post #13)

You should be VERY proud of your build! There are some really special parts in there. The finished suit is truly amazing!

Re: Our Iron Man Mark IV (thigh-codpiece mobility video on post #13)

I think I saw in another thread that you just sealed it with PVA glue; any painting/priming/sealing tips you have to offer us? :)

Re: Our Iron Man Mark IV (thigh-codpiece mobility video on post #13)

very nice mark7. very clean. what the thickness of the foam you using?

Re: Our Iron Man Mark IV (thigh-codpiece mobility video on post #13)

Man, that comparison pic in post #19 is just awesome. VERY well done - I would never have guessed that it was a foam costume, if I hadn't seen some of the pics further upthread. Thanks for posting that video of the thigh piece mobility, as well.

Re: Our Iron Man Mark IV (thigh-codpiece mobility video on post #13)

your proportions are perfect. Very nicely done :)

on behalf of my friend, thank you...:)

Can you sit comfortably in the suit?

Re: Our Iron Man Mark IV (thigh-codpiece mobility video on post #13)

very nice love it, could you please share the design to the upper leg portion? i really hate on my suit that is exposed =\

Re: Our Iron Man Mark IV (thigh-codpiece mobility video on post #13)

Everybody else has said it already, but I'll just say it again: FANTASTIC build! One question tho: what did you do for your arc reactor? It fits in very well with the rest of your costume, so I'm just wondering what you may have used.

Re: Our Iron Man Mark IV (thigh-codpiece mobility video on post #13)

Nice stuff Roy. WOuld you mind sharing how you guys did the detail lines in the armor? Is it basically burning the lines in with a soldering iron, or dremmel?

Re: Our Iron Man Mark IV (thigh-codpiece mobility video on post #13)

Finally You Got a thread Dude! You know what i'm gonna say already? Its "Too hardcore" Love It! The Best one "Made yet! You Killin' em'. None to match yours.... BTW thanks for info in the PM. Keep Building!.... Delray

Re: Our Iron Man Mark IV (thigh-codpiece mobility video on post #13)

Although impressive, it is very simple to design. First of all, we seem to be forgetting that Roy had this made by commission from a costume creator in the Philippines named Joseph. If anything all the credit should go to Joseph.

Joseph's facebook and pictures in his album showing creation process here: Josep-kiyo Tora VII | Facebook

Also, since Joseph and his crew did not know how lucrative this business is currently, Roy paid the guy a measly $250 dollars for the whole build.

We all seen just raw cast of Iron Man Helmets go for $250 in the junkyard and even more on eBay. I am not trying to derail this thread however, I just wanted to support my friend who built this armor from scratch freehand, which everyone seems to overlook. Roy travels to Singapore and Philippines occasionally that way it saves him shipping cost for the commissions..

I have detailed schematics of the build, I will be posting the How to Tutorial soon.

Re: Our Iron Man Mark IV (thigh-codpiece mobility video on post #13)

Not exactly sure what you are trying to accomplish???? HE gives credit to the builder in the origional post??? What he paid for the commission is between him and the builder.... no idea what you are trying to do
