OTHER LANDSPEEDERS

Wassup guys...so, an interesting little project has come my way...create a Jawa garage/workshop for the repair of Landspeeders etc. All to be modelled and built in 1/6.
Obviously we've seen their handywork on Luke's speeder and they are clearly not qualified mechanics, so plenty of bits and speeder parts all over the place.

There is, of course, another cannon speeder, apart from the X-34...the V-35. There are a coupla pics of it in Tunisia but it obviously didn't make it in to the final cut;

So I have started by modelling this and will do a couple of other 'concept' cars to populate the garage;

That sounds like a really fun project. You can bits and pieces of all kinds of things in the garage. Don't forget the Snow Speeders were modified speeders (they had trouble adapting them to the cold) so pieces of them could pop up too.

That model looks great, awesome job! I remember having one of these in Star Wars Galaxies, they were such cool speeders.

There is also one moving by the screen in one of the first shots of Mos Eisley in ANH. And there's the one in the background of the Lars' garage, too, of course.

The V-35 was supposedly a "family" speeder, which I assume meant it was a people-hauler like a minivan or station wagon. But seeing it actually driven by a person, it's much smaller than I expected. I can't see how you'd cram people in that front "window" area!

A lot of concept art props and vehicles ended up in Dave Faloni's Clone Wars and Rebels. He was a hardcore fan before working on them. That's one of the coolest things about the show. The original Storm Trooper concept armor ended up being used in Rebels as training armor at the academy. So many easter eggs for the truly obsessed! GEEK1138 Excellent work as always. I truly envy your work... it's both scary and inspiring...

Actually, there is another landspeeder that is OT timeline...the landspeeder from The Mandalorian.
Clearly, heavily based on the beloved X-34, I really like what they've done with it to make it a 4 people carrier and the cute little scooter windshield;

The rear looks a lot like the back end of the '66 Batmobile too;
