Original Series BSG Colonial Warrior Costume

I FINALLY got my hands on a pair of real Sidi Full Bore boots, so it's time to complete the rest of the costume.

So, the question is, what's the best resource for the rest of the costume?

I know there are a few places on E-Bay, and the Galactica website.

What are the pros and cons of the various makers? Which is more accurate? Best bang for the buck?

Anyone?

Sadly, I used to have an awesome Colonial Warrior costume (sans boots), but I loaned it out to be used in the Richard Hatch BSG Trailer, and it never came back.



Any help would truly be appreciated!

Only game in town seems to be Battlestargalctica.org though.

Blackstar is a 501st like group for the classic Show That I've helped found algong with a few friends on the left coast. We are trying to get as many if not all the sources for the costume together as possible and to get as many of the props produced as well.

BSG.org is the best choice available right now for quality. There are issues, and we've discussed them over on the forums. IT's not a 100% accurate suit, but it's the most reliable supplier right now.

We've discussed Katarra and Shadowdale. ShadowDale does still offer the uniform as a special order piece, but from what I have heard, reliability isn't there. Long waits for delivery.

One member of Blackstar has begun working on making patterns for the Tans. (no jacket yet) Mark Bradley has loaned her a Screen used Tunic to use in the making of the patterns, but I believe that is currently on hold as she is Either VERY pregnant or given birth. Monolith here on the boards commissioned the uniform she's working on now.

What's the turnaround at BSG.org?

you are all approved Spat, Turn around has been about 2 weeks I believe. Responce to emails is same day for me, a few people had some delays last week, but there might have been a vacation involved.

I'm hoping to place my order within the next few weeks.
