Has any one dealt with Lycra Spandex and sewing it? Or gluing it? Whats better?

Well I've never assembled a suit myself, but I'm positive that sewing is way better than gluing. I don't know of any glue that would hold up to the stress that the seams on a Lycra spidey suit would be under.
