I first posted this on the Facebook version of the RPF and now want to share it here as well.
I am having a particularly huge Proud Papa moment. My daughter is a huge fan of the tv show Once Upon A Time. She has wanted the book for sometime now but couldn't afford it. She did however find several tutorials on how to make your own and that is just what she did. She was able to find a scrapbooking binder on sale as the basis to work from. she painted the front and back covers and with only some help from a ruler, preceded to freehand all of the other markings on the book.
It isn't a spot on replica like some members here have turned out but considering she took this on herself and with no outside help beyond the online tutorials, I'd have to say it has turned out pretty damned nice. She hopes to have it all done and ready for a photo-op at this years Calgary Comic Expo.
