On Hand Materials, Old Parts, Junk Parks Hellboy Mecha-Glove Build

Notice please that I didn’t question “Ogdru” because the word comes from Mignola and I assumed it was one of his making.
The other names on the dial (besides HellBoy) are demons created by HP LoveCraft which was mentioned by Adam in one of his glove making videos. It’s of interest to me because besides being a huge Lovecraft fan I’ve always thought the demons in HellBoy had a “Lovecraftian” feel about them (Especially the big one at the end) and Adams video was the first I had ever heard it mentioned.
Yes, those demon names are an Easter Egg of sorts but I still think the inclusion of the name “HellBoy” on the Glove while fun to note outside the movie, was never meant to be seen in the movie because it just doesn’t make any sense to the continuity.

The Ogdru Jahad of the Hellboy comics were absolutely inspired by the work of H.P. Lovecraft, and were so from the very beginning.

As for the names on the dial of the mecha-glove prop, yes, that was simply the prop makers having a bit of fun. Of course it would never be seen on film - that's why they did it. Stuff like that happens all the time.

And yes, the reason that Adam included that feature of the dial is because he wanted to faithfully re-create the film prop as it was made.

Yep, that is for the most part what I said and already knew.
Anyway, here are a couple of my idea's.

My "Dial-A-Demon" facing.

It's my contention that The Thule Society would have funded the making of the Glove.

Joshua got himself in a bad place and took more time than he anticipated but in the end he made things good. Just sad it took a year longer to get my printed parts.

Hey Nex! Good to see you!
The only thing I can figure on the dial is that it's an easter egg from Del Toro. If that's the case I can understand wanting to replicate it as is.
But from a continuity standpoint it doesn't seem to make a lot of sense.

My one other point has to do with the name plaque that Adam used on his glove and as I understand it, some he gave away.

I don't have Adam's permission to post this pic so if he prefers I will remove it.
First off- Kudos to Adam for the thought behind this tag. A prop accomplishment like his glove doesn't come along all that often and it's extra little touches like this that can really set a prop off. Secondly- Adam can call the prop anything he wants so I really don't have a leg to stand on here calling it into question so I'll proceed on the premise that I would use a different name tag on my build of the glove and I'll list my reasons below. I too like to label of my work where I can but mostly I use numbered COA's.
Among the things I like about the tag is the word "Jahad" as I had always thought the word was "Jihad" so I first went to the script of the movie and the word used was indeed "Jahad".
So I looked it up and here is what I found=
Jahad (Jihad) comes from “Jahd,” which means, struggle to achieve something. It is said in the writings of Prophet Muhammad that the greatest struggle (Jahad) is the struggle of the human within.

Interesting! So now I went and looked up "Jihad" and here is what I found=
a struggle or fight against the enemies of Islam. "He declared a jihad against the infidels" the spiritual struggle within oneself against sin.
So, obviously you wouldn't use the word "Jihad" because that implies a Holy endeavor.

I'll finish this post in a bit. I have to go to work!

Also? It’s spelled incorrectly. A Jihad is a holy war. “Jahad” is not a word.
