Ok..you've just won the lottery..worth millions..what fanfilm would you make?

Re: Ok..you've just won the lottery..worth million

this is a good thread! If i had lots of $ I'd make a "Nevermen" fan film. if you haven't heard of it, it's all good. Its a comic book by Guy davis of Hellboy and Marquis fame. think adjustment bureau and add a lot of monsters in it.

Star Wars Prequel remakes.

Star Wars Episodes 7, 8, and 9 with the original actors at their CURRENT, real age (gotta get Ford before he hits 70, and Fisher has lost some weight!), along with kids for some of them so we can "pass the baton".

I'd finish Deadwood.

Then I'd pay a team of mercenaries to systematically hunt down and destroy all of the brown coats, because for some reason I feel like they're so SHRILL in the fan community. I think that'd make an awesome film!!

Also, I'd buy Teefury, and stop all the endless "Doctor Who and _________" mashup shirts. Heh.

Re: Ok..you've just won the lottery..worth million

SCREW making a FAN FILM! I'd make my OWN original film!

Re: Ok..you've just won the lottery..worth million

Assuming I spend the money on making some kind of film, and assuming we're in an alternate universe where the concept of "copyright law" simply doesn't apply, I'd go with...

- Remake of the Star Wars prequels, wherein Anakin's primary motivation is to "save" the galaxy from itself by imposing order on it, rather than all the schmaltzy romance crap. No TPM, and the films take place during the Clone Wars, which probably look different from the various cartoon shows (but I wouldn't know since I haven't seen 'em).

- Seasons 2-7 of Firefly.

- The rest of the story for: Carnivale and Twin Peaks.

Aside from fan-films - I'd hire a bunch of computer/video/sound professionals to restore ANH as much as is possible without access to the original masters... fix legit problems, colors, etc.

As far as fan-film goes, I could see maybe doing a fan-film of something that'd never have a chance at a legit big screen film... a b-list personal favorite of mine like Angel, Nova, Long Shot, Machine Man or maybe Hellcat.

Actually, I could easily see Whedon doing....bad things to the crew in future seasons. Lots of favorite characters falling in love and exploding or having reavers eat them or whatever. You know how he basically breaks up and/or kills every couple.

Time War: Employ a load of Brilliant Who writers and create the perfect time war!
Paul McGann, Terry Molloy, Lala Ward, Louise Jameson, John Leeson and finally Chris Eccelson!

Upgrading of the Imperial Daleks to the Gold NSDaleks.
Gallifrey, Corruption, employing/forcing the Doctor into a warrior.
Rebirthing the Master and making him work with the Doctor, but of course, he haches a plan so devious, that ultimately leads him to be exciled to the end of the universe with a fob watch...
Gallifrey is destroyed and right at the front was the Doctor, because he made a desition to rid the universe of the Daleks, but of course Time Lords went aswell.
All we see is a little blue box thrown out into the far reaches of space, almost destroyed, but regrowing itself into a glorious coral structure, and inside a man we know very well is regenerating... :)

If I won £150 million, I'd Do a Space 1999 movie called "ALPHA." Id deffo use the eagles as they were, but throw in some of the incredible fan made variations that I have seen. Id totally change the sets/costumes and get rid of those daft comlocks, as they would be defunct now anyway. Id employ some great British actors and I'd definitely blow the earth up which would knock the moon out of orbit. (I know the original reason was a lunar nuclear explosion) I just think that it's a series that deserves the big screen treatment.
Oh! and I would use fan made eagles and stuff in return for a credit at the end!

I've had 3 star wars films in mind for over 15 years now. I'm kind of obsessed about it. The funny thing is, I kind of don't care at all about the real star wars films at all, any more.

I used to watch the films over, and over again, and read the books, and comics, and the cartoo. (the old ones, the good ones, not that CGI junk) But, now........ Well you've heard it all before , over, and over again, from the so many no-longer-fans.

but I still love my ideas for my films, and still would love to do them some day.

Though, I was 30 when I met my girlfriend, who is also a huge nerd, and when I told here I wanted to do 3 fan films, she said. "That is so sad, you are WAY too old for that kind of thing, you need to grow up, and let go of such childish dreams." This from a lady that collects almost as many toys as I do. :lol That was over 4 years ago, I still have my dream. :) (and the same girlfriend. :( )

If I had a billion dollars I would hire James Cameron to make another Terminator movie, and finninsh it like it should.I would then buy the rights and never ever make one again.

The HP Lovecraft Trilogy
- Call of Cthulu
- Mountains of Madness
- Case of Charles Dextar Ward

In between the release of each film, there would be short vignettes of some of his short stories which would contain clues to the over-arching mysteries of the movies (like Lost did with it's between-seasons stuff).
